Ssezibwa Falls Extension w/ James as Guide - Amazing experience, cruising between rural homes, Lake Victoria breeze, and tea plantations.
If you choose for the Ssezibwa Falls extension be prepared for a 9 hour ride! (You've gotta be super fit for it)
I choose the extension and it was amazing, and the falls are beautiful.
James was an excellent guide and even dropped me off at the marketplace to get a fruit I wanted!

Great bikes. Great culture. Great guide. - The bikes were a couple of months old and mine was even upgraded. I’m a mountain biker and I was worried that the quality of the bikes would be substandard.
The route was easy for me but my wife was challenged. We took breaks so it was manageable. The scenery was beautiful and passing by the locals was unforgettable. We felt like royalty with the kids running to say hello and wave. Our guide Michael was awesome. A great way to get some exercise and see culture after many hours in the back of our safari vehicle.

Biking through remote island village in lake Victoria - This was a fantastic experience and absolutely must do while in Kampala!
I loved everything about this tour! First to mention that Shadrack was the most amazing guide. I was the only one in tour and he was literally in charge of my phone and taking the pictures all the time so i don’t have to worry about it. I never mountain biked before so he made sure to provide the guidance how to tackle in the challenging parts and I loved it . I am not in worst but not in best shape neither, but only twice I had to push the bike up hill ( ½ of hill) and it wasn’t really that hard. This was a wonderful cultural adventure but also the nature one. We biked through villages, forest, the lake shore, eat Rolex, even interacted with the local kids that happen to be on their class break - the highlight of my trip (happy tears)!
We saw the monkeys, birds, goats, we laugh and talk about life. My heart was full. I really didn’t want to go back to the busy city. I enjoy every minute of it and I truly recommend this adventure to anyone visiting Kampala. You will remember it forever!
Oh, and I love my bike!!

Super experience on bike - Experiencing culture and nature while riding a bike is always good. With this tour you experience amazing nature, small villages, tasting local food and so many people greeting and smiling at you... Shadrack my guide on tour was great, telling about the region and when asked had great informative answers.

Great day out! - Red Dirt were efficient over WhatsApp with organising my trip. They even rescheduled due to rain with no issues as I didn’t want to cycle in the rain. Michael my guide was super, he went at my pace and gave me lots of information on locals areas and food etc. It was great to get away from the noise of Kampala to enjoy the countryside. Cycling through villages with nothing but views and nature.❤️ Even the boat spin over and back was nice to see how locals travel.

Incredible cycle through remote Uganda - This experience was the absolute highlight of my year. Michael was accommodating with pace and informative as a guide, the bike was in excellent condition, and the views of the villages, lake, and surroundings were amazing. I’d come back to Uganda just do this again!

Fun way to actively experience Uganda. Good for most levels of cyclers. - As a solo woman traveler, I was thrilled with the care and attention provided by Red Dirt Uganda's team. Before the trip, Francis responded quickly to all of my questions and gave me a very honest idea of what level of difficulty the ride would be. Although I am a bit out of shape, I cycle often back home on mostly flat, paved terrain. This was my first mountain biking experience, so I was unsure if I would be able to keep up. Turns out it was not a problem because I was assigned my own guide--Michael--who was incredibly knowledgeable about the trail, culture, and cycling. Michael tailored the ride to my ability, going at my pace and giving me pointers on how to handle the hills. There were a lot of hills, but only one that was too hard for me. I made it about half way up and then had to walk the rest of the way.
I highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to get away from touristy activities and actively experience Uganda.

Amazing Experience - would recommend! - This was such an incredible experience and a must when visiting Kampala. It is amazing how peaceful and remote it felt compared to the city, despite the fact that it is so close. The bike ride is challenging, but if you are reasonably in shape, you should be fine. It is truly beautiful countryside and is amazing getting a glimpse into the rural. The guide Michael is incredibly knowledge and a great host. Would highly recommend!
