Queen Elizabeth National Park - The guides will collect guests from their hotel in Kampala for a picturesque morning drive. There will be stops for art and crafts viewing and photos at the Equator before continuing through villages surrounded by cultivated land until reaching the lush green tea estates. As the journey approaches the escarpment, guests will be treated to breathtaking views of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Depending on the schedule, lunch will be served either en route or at Tembo Safari Lodge. After checking into Tembo Safari Lodge, a budget lodge located outside Queen Elizabeth National Park, if time allows, guests can take a walk to explore the nearby village and crater lake. In the evening, they can relax and enjoy the stunning views from the lodge.

Game Drive and Boat Cruise on the Kazinga Channel

Queen Elizabeth National Park - The day begins with an early breakfast before embarking on a game drive at 7:00 am within the park. During this game drive, guests can expect to see the famous Big Five, including elephants, lions, and other mammals such as giant forest hogs, bushbucks, kobs, hyenas, and waterbucks. In the afternoon, around 3:00 pm, guests will prepare for a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. This cruise offers the chance to observe large numbers of elephants, hippos, buffalo, and crocodiles. Additionally, various bird species, including the rare shoebill, may be spotted. After the boat tour, guests will enjoy a brief evening game drive before being transferred back to Tembo Safari Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Chimpanzee Tracking and Transfer to Kampala

Kampala - After an early breakfast, guests will depart for Kalinzu Forest around 6:00 am for chimpanzee tracking, where they can encounter our closest relatives in their natural habitat. It is fascinating to see these primates playing, swinging on tree branches, and even competing for food. Later, guests will set off on an exciting road trip back to Kampala, with a lunch stop at the Equator. They are expected to arrive in the late evening, and the guides will drop them off at their hotel.
