The boat cruise on the Nile River in Murchison Falls takes you upstream towards the base of Murchison Falls, providing close-up views of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffalo, and various bird species such as the African fish eagle and the rare shoebill stork. Game drives in the park are conducted in open-roof safari vehicles, usually in the early morning or late afternoon when animals are most active. These drives traverse savannah grasslands, where you can spot lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, leopards, and various antelope species.
