- Natadera Temple - Established in 717, Natadera Temple is celebrated for its breathtaking scenery. The temple uniquely blends Buddhism with nature worship, making its gardens a renowned sanctuary for healing.
At the garden’s rear, visitors will find the temple’s oldest section. The main shrine, recognized as an Important Cultural Property, is intricately carved from a small cave. It was believed that traversing these caves would purify one’s spirit.
The gardens offer numerous picturesque spots, such as an Inari shrine dedicated to mountain worship. Walking through these serene garden paths, one can truly experience peace and tranquility.
- Yunokuni no Mori - A short drive will take us to Yunokuni-no-Mori craft village, where a delightful array of local craft experiences awaits.
Within the craft village, the guide will provide insights into each available experience. Depending on your interests, there will be ample time to engage in two or three activities before departing.
Before exploring independently, we’ll participate in Kaga Yuzen, a traditional art form over 500 years old. Over the centuries, the kimono patterns have evolved to become more intricate and elegant.
After completing the Kaga Yuzen, feel free to explore the park. There are several dining options and 23 additional experiences to enjoy.
Please note that any additional experiences beyond the Kaga Yuzen are not included in the tour cost.
-
Yamanaka Onsen - The bus will proceed to Yamanaka Onsen, a tranquil town nestled in the mountains. Before the show begins, the guide will lead a brief tour of the village’s attractions, with opportunities to browse local shops. If you tried lacquerware at the craft village, compare your creation to the masterpieces displayed in the shops—you might have uncovered a hidden talent!
-
Yamanakaza - Geisha will perform a series of traditional dances and songs unique to the region. Witnessing the geisha up close is a truly enchanting experience, showcasing years of dedicated practice in every precise movement.
The performance will also feature the traditional Kaga lion dance, shishimai, originally performed to celebrate the arrival of Kanazawa’s first lord, Toshiie Maeda, after a century of conflict.
For the show’s final dance, the geisha will invite audience members to join in Goshugi no Mai, the dance of celebration. This dance remains popular today, celebrating Kanazawa’s rich history and its past status as one of Japan’s most powerful cities.
As photography is strictly prohibited during the performance, we encourage you to seize the opportunity to dance! The geisha will guide you through the simple steps before performing the dance with the group.
