Excellent tour of Kanazawa Market and beyond! - Yuji met us at the market and gave us a great tour. He recommended local delicacies and shared facts around the market’s history. He was incredibly gracious and kind, extending our tour to the castle, gardens and samarai district. We couldn’t have asked for better guide for our stay in Kanazawa.

It was a great experience - I had a great experience on this tour.
The sushi restaurant Yuji introduced was very delicious, and the croquette shop was also amazing.
He guided me very kindly throughout the tour, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Kanazawa!

Yuji was a great tour... - Yuji was a great tour guide, giving explanations about the origin of the market and also about Kanazawa more generally. The selection of food he recommended was also great and took into account what Kanazawa is best known for. After the tour was over, Yuji kindly offered to join me to some other places in Kanazawa I planned on visiting, which was very nice of him. I can definitely recommend this tour!

Excellent food tour, like no other!!! Book this and you won’t be disappointed. - We had the most wonderful experience on our food tour with Koki and Yuji in Kanazawa. They guided us through the markets with care and diligence, introducing us to local foods, history, and traditions that we would never have discovered on our own. Their explanations gave us such a deep sense of Kanazawa’s culture and daily life, and they made everything both informative and engaging.
Although they modestly said their English was not amazing, we found it to be very good. They were very easy to communicate with and showed genuine interest in us, making the experience feel warm, personal, and memorable. Their kindness, patience, and thoughtfulness throughout the day made us feel truly looked after.
We were a mixed group of younger and older people, and Koki and Yuji struck an excellent pace that suited everyone. They encouraged us to share our preferences, what we liked and what we didn’t, and shaped the tour so that we only paid for and ate the things we genuinely wanted. This made the experience feel perfectly tailored, with no pressure at any point. They kept us together with great attention to detail, and their kindness and courtesy shone through the entire day. It truly felt like a privilege to share food with them, and we left feeling both grateful and lucky.
