Starting at ¥12,500 per person (minimum of 2 people), enjoy a fully private experience with no strangers, just your group. A tea master with 19 years of experience will guide you through an authentic Enshu-ryū ceremony in a 100-year-old machiya located in Kanazawa’s Nishi Chaya geisha district.
Enter a century-old machiya in Kanazawa’s Nishi Chaya geisha district for an exclusive tea ceremony. Your host, Yuta, has been practicing the Enshu-ryū tradition, which is deeply rooted in samurai culture, for 19 years. This is not a group workshop but a personal ceremony conducted solely for you in a tea room featuring tatami and a tokonoma alcove.
During the 70-minute session, participants will:
· Observe a complete tea ceremony demonstration
· Whisk their own bowl of matcha (thin tea)
· Savor traditional dry sweets (higashi)
· Inquire about tea, aesthetics, or Kanazawa
· Capture a commemorative photo
This experience is entirely private with no other guests and no rush. The session is guided in English throughout.
