- Bridge Over the River Kwai - The bridge over the River Kwai, familiar to many from the 1957 film of the same name or Pierre Boulle’s book, is part of the notorious Death Railway. This railway was constructed during World War II, from 1942 to 1943.
The railway linked Kanchanaburi in Western Thailand with Rangoon in Myanmar, then known as Burma, spanning approximately 415 kilometers. Construction commenced at both ends in June 1942, progressing towards each other. By October 1943, the two sections met, completing the railway.
- River Kwai - The Khwae Yai River, also referred to as the Si Sawat, is a river in western Thailand. Originating in the Tenasserim Hills, it flows for about 380 kilometers through the Sangkhla Buri, Si Sawat, and Mueang Districts of Kanchanaburi Province, where it joins the Khwae Noi to form the Mae Klong River at Pak Phraek.
- Kanchanaburi War Cemetery - The Kanchanaburi War Cemetery serves as the primary prisoner of war cemetery for those who perished under Japanese captivity while constructing the Burma Railway. It is located on Saeng Chuto Road, the main road through Kanchanaburi, Thailand, next to an older Chinese cemetery.
- JEATH War Museum - This modest museum, established in 1977, primarily highlights the severe hardships faced by the POWs who built the Death Railway. Their difficult living conditions are depicted through numerous original photos, letters, and drawings from that era, as well as personal items and war relics, including an unexploded Allied bomb intended to destroy the bridge. One of the three galleries is constructed from bamboo, resembling the attap shelters the POWs inhabited.

- Tour includes hotel pick up / drop off and is available from most central Bangkok hotels. This Option can be amended and/or cancelled. You will be able to arrange pick up from your hotel or a nearby location when you call to confirm your reservation. Hotel pick up may be 30-60 minutes prior to tour Start time/Departure time (depending on hotel location).
- Approx 300 Baht is to be paid to the guide which will guarantee a seat including tea/coffee, drinking water, cold towel and certificate. This can only be paid on the spot at the train station.
- Child rate is priced for children lower than 100cm tall. If Over 100cm, please pay the adult rates.
- At least 2 people are required for the Shared Tour to take place. Single traveler may book the Shared Tour this product, but is subject to availability and cancellation if minimum number of people is not met on the activity day. (Alternative date or refund will be offered should this occur.).
- If you have mobility problems, you may have difficulties getting into or out of the long-tailed speedboat. Please advise your guide of this at the commencement of the tour. Your guide will arrange for the driver to take you to the Bridge by road instead.
