- Vaikunta Perumal Temple - Thiru Parameswara Vinnagaram, or Vaikunta Perumal Temple, is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Built in the Dravidian architectural style, the temple is celebrated in the Nalayira Divya Prabandham, the early medieval Tamil canon of the Alvar saints from the 6th to the 9th centuries CE. It is one of the 108 Divya Desams dedicated to Lord Vishnu, worshipped as Vaikuntanathan (‘Lord of Vaikunta’), and his consort, Goddess Lakshmi, as Sri Vaikundavalli. The temple is considered the second oldest existing temple in Kanchipuram after the Kailasanathar temple.
- Shakunthala Jagannathan Museum of Folk Art - This is not a heritage museum but an old traditional house showcasing a collection of everyday items used over the past 100 years, unique to Kanchipuram, reflecting its ancient and exclusive culture.
- Kanchipuram - Silk Weaving: Kanchipuram is renowned for its silk sarees. Weaving is highly popular. Visitors will be taken to a weaving location to observe the weaving process. Please note that the tour does not include a visit to the silk production farm.
- Kailasanatha Temple - The architecturally stunning Kailasanathar Temple:
This temple was the first of its kind in stone architecture, unlike other Pallava structures that were stone-carved or rock-cut. The granite foundation supports the entire massive structure. With over 58 shrines crafted into the niches of the compound wall, the temple is a masterpiece of sandstone construction. The mandapa pillars feature statues of lions standing on their hind legs, symbolizing protection of the temple.
This magnificent temple offers a remarkable visual experience that must be seen to be appreciated.
