Great days with focus on Yala - An absolutely fantastic trip, focusing on the National Park in Yala. Mahweli arranged a guide and driver, named Kawshika, who accompanied us throughout the stay and told us interesting information and offered fruits from trees we passed, which we would otherwise not have dared to test. We chose to drive directly from the airport to Yala, to save time and focus on the animals and Kawshika helped us get the best safari experience. It was a fantastic trip and next time we will definitely stay longer.

Great days in Sri Lanka - Great country, nice people and fun to experience the culture. We stayed in different hotels and had Kawshika as a guide. He was very nice and told me a lot about Sri Lanka and the culture. He drove great and gave us fruits from sri lanka that we otherwise would not have found! He was generally very nice, funny and made our experience better! Really recommend to have a guide and driver because the traffic is very different from what we are used to 😆

Fantastic Sri Lanka Tour with Mahaweli Tours! - We had a wonderful experience with **Mahaweli Tours** during our recent trip to Sri Lanka. Our itinerary took us from **Bentota**, with a brief stop at **Mirissa** on the way to **Ella**, followed by **Nuwara Eliya**, and finally **Colombo** — and everything was seamlessly organized. **Chaturi** handled our tour planning and was outstanding throughout — highly responsive (even during late hours) and very flexible in customizing the package according to our needs. Our driver, **Susantha**, greeted us at the airport right on time and helped us get started smoothly. He remained friendly, punctual, and thoughtful during the entire trip, which made our journey stress-free and enjoyable. The vehicle was just as promised — clean, comfortable, and reliable throughout. We highly recommend **Mahaweli Tours** to anyone looking for a professional, well-planned, and personalized tour experience in Sri Lanka!

Brilliant taste of Sri Lanka tour - We had 4 days to tour around Sri Lanka and wanted to make the most of it. From making the booking to being dropped off at the airport was a breeze. Once we made the booking online I was contacted by WhatsApp to confirm the details. I was kept up to date with the itinerary and hotels etc and our driver details by WhatsApp. Our driver Kushan picked us up at our hotel to start our tour. From the minute he collected us he was extremely helpful and friendly. He suggested some slight tweaks to the itinerary to allow us more time at certain spots which was great as we had the time we needed to properly view the sights and attractions. While driving he was able to give us his local knowledge on some additional sights we were passing that were not on the itinerary but were worth seeing, such as waterfalls, Central point of Sri Lanka and some Sri Lankan mask making. These additional stops and knowledge really made our tour special. I would love to return to Sri Lanka to visit some more sights this beautiful island has to offer and if I do I would happily book with Mahaweli Tours and Holidays again.

Lucky to have Pradeep and Mahaweli brining us around this magical country - Sri Lanka is always a nice and amazing country and I always want to travel to again. It happened to have a few days of holiday for me and I decided to travel and see in early May. When I read through comments from tripadvisor and came across Mahaweli tours with quite a lot of good reviews, so with a bit of uncertainty and I tried to email them to organise a trip for me. Turned out the experience is great and superb! From the enquiries process, Bimal of Mahaweli already provided me with a very good and welcoming experience. Bimal followed up my request quickly and never missed my request when coming up with the itinerary. So with a very clear pleasant start, we arrived at magical Sri Lanka. In Colombo airport at the first night, it was Pradeep Wickramage who welcomed us at the airport. Although there’s a bit of problem at the airport that night and Pradeep waited for us for nearly two hours, you can feel that he was so delighted to meet and greet us, and this made me feel relieved from all the ease during flying and immigration! During the tour, Pradeep is always a cheerful and thoughtful guy, which I always said to him; will think about the best for us, places to eat, to see, and to enjoy Sri Lanka. He is someone who is very passionate about his job and his country, and he will always let you know all the interesting facts and stories behind each point of interest, not just only letting us to see the tourist point, but know the true facts and meaning of all these places. This is the true meaning of travel. When Pradeep learnt that we are interested in Buddhism, he immediately arranged some additional spots and brought us there to learn more about the country’s main religion. We are all delighted to how he thought of our best quickly and made best decision for us. Pradeep is also a very friendly and cheerful person, not only to us but also basically everyone in his country. With his cheerful character, you can feel locals not only treat Pradeep as his friend, but also us as their friends too. For the trip, I can say all the places we visited are perfect, going to the sea turtle sanctuary, galle city, Udawalawe national park (one of the very best), tooth relic temple, train ride, Sigiriya. Pradeep was always by our sides at all these places, making sure we are safe and enjoy the places. Apart from our guide, Pradeep also was the chauffeur of the four days. I was so amazed by how he can concentrate on the road with some longer drives. Four days were relatively short, but what Pradeep and Mahaweli offered us is extraordinary and superb! I would definitely come to Sri Lanka again next time and Pradeep should bring us and see more about this country!

Superb driver hire - We hired our driver, Vikum, through Mahaweli Tours. His kindness and thoughtfulness really made our first five days in Sri Lanka. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him. I had planned our itinerary, but he sorted out all the detail in each place we went to and I changed our final night's destination and hotel stay on his recommendation which was absolutely right. The price for the hire was also extremely reasonable. I have no hesitation in recommending the company to others. Their pre-trip communication was also excellent. Ten out of ten from very satisfied customers.

Fantastic tour that covered all the highlights! - We had an action packed and fascinating 3 nights/4 days adventuring around Sri Lanka. Our guide, Vikum, was amazing and really made a huge effort to make sure we saw and experienced some really great on and off the beaten path things. We highly recommend Mahaweli Tours and Vikum in particular if you are looking for a great tour of all the key highlights in Kandy, Ella and Bentota.

The Trip of a Lifetime – All Thanks to Pradeep - This was hands down the best trip I have ever been on. And while Sri Lanka itself is stunning, what truly made this experience unforgettable was Pradeep—our tour guide, but more than that, someone who turned this trip into something truly special. From the moment we landed, Pradeep was there to welcome us, right on time, with the warmest smile and beautiful beaded necklaces that made us feel instantly at home. He didn’t just guide us through Sri Lanka; he curated an experience so personal, enriching, and immersive that it felt like traveling with a close friend who genuinely cared about making every moment special. One of our first stops was a Spice Farm, where I had the most incredible spice tea I’ve ever tasted. Along the way, we paused at a viewpoint with unreal scenery, where I met the sweetest grandmother with the most beautiful jewelry. Then came Kandy, where Pradeep arranged for us to witness a mesmerizing cultural theatre performance that brought Sri Lankan traditions to life in the most vibrant way. He also took us to a serene Buddhist temple, where we had the privilege of soaking in the spiritual energy, and along the way, we even stumbled upon a street performer with the biggest snake I’ve ever seen! And just when we thought it couldn’t get better, Pradeep ensured we stayed at the most amazing hotel in Kandy, where the buffet breakfast was out of this world—especially the curry chicken, dhal curry, and roasted potatoes. If you ever visit, trust me, this breakfast is a must-try! We also did a bull ride, which was unexpected but so much fun. Then came the climb up Lion Rock Sigiriya—completely worth it for the views alone—followed by a visit to Dambulla Cave Temple, which was just stunning in every way. At some point, we stopped at a colonial bridge, where I took some of the best pictures of my life, and also saw waterfalls so beautiful they didn’t feel real. On the final day, we embarked on a boat ride through the lagoon and mangroves, where we saw majestic eagles soaring above us and even got a firsthand look at how cinnamon is made. I cannot emphasize enough that none of this would have been the same without Pradeep. His passion for his country, his deep knowledge, and his genuine warmth made every single moment feel special. He didn’t just take us from one destination to another—he wove stories, created connections, and made sure we experienced the heart and soul of Sri Lanka. I felt like I made a new friend in this trip, which to me just as more valuable than the entire experience. Thank you, Pradeep, for the trip of a lifetime! 🇱🇰✨ Can't wait to be back!
