Kandy > Rangala
Rangala Natural Pool - Begin the morning with a transfer to the trail’s starting point in Knuckles East. The journey includes traversing a forest lane after a few challenging and rocky ascents through the Elkaduwa tea plantation. Expect breathtaking views and exhilarating descents. A visit to a mini World’s End is included before continuing the ride towards Rangala, the destination for Day 2. Approximate ascent - 1200m.
Rangala > Knuckles > Kandy
Knuckles Mountain Range - After enjoying a delightful breakfast, the ride begins leisurely through tea plantations. Gradually tackling continuous climbs with beautiful views and landscapes, the journey reaches a natural pool for a refreshing break. The ride resumes towards Thangappuwa via abandoned truck trails through small forest areas. A local lunch at a village house is sure to be a highlight. The next stop is Corbett’s Gap, a panoramic viewpoint. To reach there, the ride traverses the borders of the Knuckles Forest Reserve, featuring a 6 km cross-country section with naturally challenging technical segments. After a pleasant grassy single-track downhill, the car will be met to return to Kandy. Total ascent - 1400m.
Kandy > Nuwara Eliya
Nuwara Eliya - Begin gaining elevation. Today, drive to the starting point of the ride to Nuwara Eliya, once referred to as “Little England” by the British. The journey takes exclusive trails through tea plantations and small houses to reach the destination. The views and mountain ranges are sure to be appreciated. The car will be met at a certain point, and the rest of the distance will be driven. Enjoy a warming tea along the way. Total ascent - 1200m.
Nuwara Eliya > Haputale
Horton Plains National Park - Depart early in the morning to Horton Plains for a walk.
Get on the saddles to experience rapid downhills. After about 30 minutes of riding, a turn will lead to the XC section of the ride. The Devil’s Staircase is aptly named, likely due to its hairpin bends. The terrain is challenging but rewarding with spectacular views. Bambarakanda Falls will be visible on the side. The car will be met after reaching the main roads, followed by a drive to Haputale. Total ascent - 800m.
Haputale > Colombo
Colombo - After breakfast at the hotel, check out and transfer to Colombo.
