Temple of the Sacred Tooth - Unfortunately we got caught up in traffic getting to the temple but our guide had waited for us. This was on a Saturday, not sure if it’s busier but you need plenty of time to get into city and park. The temple itself was busy but everyone was able to get round. The guide was very friendly and informative of the temple and it’s history. Could have stayed a bit longer as it was very peaceful but understand that there has to be a time limit on the tour.

Guided our with Sampath - An amazing experience with our guide Sampath who helped us navigate the crowds and imparted all his knowledge to us. The temple is beautiful and the 9.30 ceremony worth getting up early for.

A perfect tour through Lakpura - Booked through Viator, prior to our trip. We ended up at the organization Lakpura.
The visit could not go better. The guide Sampath was waiting for us at the entrance for the agreed time. We got a detailed explanation of the most important things, were on time at the ceremony and were the first at the doors that opened at a certain moment.
That way we would have seen everything in no time, while other people stood in a (long) line.
Great organizers, great guide.

Excellent tour of Temple Of Tooth, Sri Lanka - Tour was great and Sampath our tour guide was excellent.
We were updated by Lakpura (tour co.) who our driver, guide and times would be. Another excellent and smooth running tour with lovely drivers and guides by Lakpura. Highly recommend!

This is a amazing place to relaxing your miend. - The temple of the sacred tooth relic is world famous place of worship. It is in Kandy, Sri Lanka.there is a tooth of lord Buddha.this most sacred temple is visited daily by thousands of local and foreign devotees and tourists.

Go early and avoid holy days - Buddha’s tooth was apparently snatched from his funeral pyre and smuggled in to Sri Lanka by a princess and here it is kept in a casket and is considered very holy. People come to make offerings and hope their prayers are answered. Beautiful flowers are sold at many stalls outside.
One must not take photos of anyone in front of the buddhas. There is a memorial to a faithful elephant and people can light incense sticks for loved ones. Most people wear white. All must show respect by covering legs and shoulders. Shoes are not worn in the whole complex. 200 rupees to have them looked after.
Go early and avoid holy days.

Deep in to budhism.... - We were here in a private tour, all info about budism(theory and practice) were well received, we spotted the people doing prayers&ofrandes, learned not to do pictures to people/tourists in front of budha(!).We saw the famous sacred elephant(mummified).After all a religious experience for the non budhist.

Gorgeous Temple – Worth Visiting, Buy Tickets Yourself - The Temple of the Tooth Relic is stunning and filled with history. The temple itself is beautiful, and our guide’s knowledge really enhanced the visit, helping us navigate the crowds and understand the significance. We attended the 6 pm ceremony, which was atmospheric but very busy.
One downside was that we had to wait inside the temple for quite a while while the guide went to collect another couple who were late, which interrupted the tour. Also, it’s worth noting that it’s much cheaper to buy the tickets directly rather than through a tour.
Overall, a must-see in Sri Lanka, but plan ahead for crowds and consider arranging tickets yourself.

Cancélled by the organisation due to too much attendance - We could not make the visit as the guide asked for cancellation due a too big attendance, despite our confirmed tickets, paid in advance. I am waiting for the reimbursment
