• Los Alamos Cocina - Pause midway through the tour for a refreshing fruit drink to go at this authentic Mexican restaurant, with an opportunity to use the restroom.

This early morning 5-mile journey begins with a stunning view at Liberty Memorial, followed by a descent past Union Station. Participants will pause at a local Mexican shop to enjoy refreshing fruit juice while exploring the architecturally and culturally rich Westside neighborhood. The tour includes insights into the historical West Bottoms and the Pendergast era, along with alleyways adorned with street art. This hike is packed with Instagram-worthy spots and hidden treasures of Kansas City. It’s not a casual walk in flip-flops, as it involves climbing steep hills and staircases, and sometimes walking in direct sunlight. Good walking or running shoes and a water bottle are essential!
