Begin your trek at the traditional market and village of Sidemen, then ascend to the rice paddy fields, which have no defined steps. Head towards Mount Agung, following the irrigation path of the water source, and cross the hanging wooden bridge, suitable for both motorbikes and pedestrians.
As you trek, pass through the village and temple where local villagers come to pray. The journey involves ascending and descending streets, then walking through rice fields along the irrigation channels. Observe the locals working in their fields, engaging in activities such as plowing, cultivating, planting seeds, and harvesting.

Great tour to see the rural life in Bali - Our guide was very nice, he explained a lot on local farming, local community, religious beliefs and traditions... a real trip into rural Bali, much more authentic than anything else we did. He showed us the rice fields, the flowers for the offerings, the local spiders that are ginormous!!! The tour is an easy walk along the irrigation of the fields. He even helped us find a taxi at the end. Really good, thank you!

We loved our trek through the rice terrace! - We met at our guide at the local market in Sidemen. They provided us great directions to that meeting point. We began our trek promptly at the appointed time. It was a BEAUTIFUL trek with our guide providing us details of Bali Hindu, the rice farming process and the volcano near by.

Best tour in Bali - This was our favorite experience on our whole trip. Adi is so fun and knowledgeable and if you do nothing else in Sideman, do this!

Magical ricefields - must do in Sidemen - The rice fields are absolutely stunning and it felt almost magical to walk through them and experience the calm and tranquil nature. Eddy was very friendly and fun. He answered all our questions about Balinese culture and daily life on the island. - You will walk on narrow paths next to water and sometimes next to a slightly steep hill, so you need to wear proper sneakers or walking shoes and be able to keep your balance. The walk is not suitable for people who are out of shape or unable to keep their balance.

Sidemen tour with amazing guide - Our guide was really nice and could tell a lot about everything we saw. He knows everyone we passed by in the rice fields and the rest of the town, which makes the trekking extra fun! He guided us through little paths in the fields we wouldn’t have found without him. We were involved in his storytelling and he was also interested in our culture, which made the whole experience very interactive. So, great tour that we highly recommend when visiting Sidemen!

Highly recommend! - We had a fantastic walk through the rice fields accompanied by our guide. It’s so insightful to hear about the Sidemen and the surrounding villages from a local. We are so glad we decided on a guided trek rather than doing it ourselves. I will highly recommend as was a highlight of our trip to Sidemen.

Beautiful walk.. and very informative. - The walk was just great with our guide explaining the process of growing rice and pointing out all the co-planting in the fields .. we came across a 95 year old local who walks the fields every day. Our guide was a local so knew most of the farmers we saw.. highly recommend this walk. It’s not strenuous and you finish up at a local warung.. for a cool drink. our guide dropped us back at our hotel on the back of his bike at the end of the walk which was a kind gesture.. highly recommend this company.

Very enjoyable morning! - We booked a rice field trek because we wanted a local guide who knew the best routes and spots to see the fields. Daria was really nice and we learnt a lot about the local farming culture and how it has changed over the years. Definitely recommend this tour if you are in the area!
