The meeting point is the Medeu Cable Car station, approximately a 30-minute journey from the city. It is accessible by taxi or by bus numbers 12 and 21.
From Medeu, the group will take the cable car to the third station of Shymbulak Ski Resort, situated at an elevation of 3,200 meters.
At the upper station, a 2 km hike begins, taking about 1 to 1.5 hours…
The meeting point is the Medeu Cable Car station, approximately a 30-minute journey from the city. It is accessible by taxi or by bus numbers 12 and 21.
From Medeu, the group will take the cable car to the third station of Shymbulak Ski Resort, situated at an elevation of 3,200 meters.
At the upper station, a 2 km hike begins, taking about 1 to 1.5 hours each way. Upon reaching the Bogdanovich Glacier, there will be around 2 hours to explore the area, enjoy the scenery, and capture photos.
The return to Shymbulak marks the end of the guided hike. Participants are welcome to remain at Shymbulak to enjoy their time further.
If fortunate, there may be an opportunity to visit the Oktyabrskaya Ice Cave, a hidden treasure of the Bogdanovich Glacier—a secluded ice cave nestled deep within the mountains.
Helmets, hiking poles, and spikes are provided for safety. Participants are encouraged to bring snacks such as sandwiches, chocolate, nuts, etc.
