• Alpha Bank - Begin your day the Karpathian way: early, refreshed, and bathed in light. Meet your guide at 8:30 am at the Alpha Bank (former taxi station) in Pigadia, and set off before the summer heat arrives.

In just a few minutes, the town fades behind you as the path ascends—passing old stavlos and silvery olive groves, with the Aegean Sea sparkling beside you. As you climb higher, the view expands, revealing Pigadia from above and the southern villages dotted along the coastline like small white brushstrokes.

Your destination is the serene Agia Kyriaki chapel, typically open for a visit. It’s an ideal spot to rest in the shade, soak in the scenery, and enjoy a peaceful moment away from the hustle and bustle.

From here, the walk continues through a pine forest where the air becomes cooler and filled with the scent of resin. Between the trees, you’ll repeatedly catch breathtaking views of the eastern coast—blue waters, rugged hills, and Pigadia unfolding below.

By late morning, you’ll return to town around 11:30 am, with the salty air in your lungs, photos on your phone, and a satisfying post-walk glow.

Art and Walk hosts a weekly journey through a woodland track leading to the Church of Agia Kyriaki, positioned with breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea. This journey commences from the taxi station in Pigadia, where we ascend a stairway to witness a splendid view of Pigadia. During this journey, you’ll spot an age-old temple, see traditional Greek stables (stavlos), experience the aroma of pine trees and indigenous herbs of Karpathos, peek inside the Church of Agia Kyriaki, and relish the stunning vistas of nearby villages and the sea.
