The other four temples in this group are Thiruvanaikaval Jambukeswara (water), Chidambaram Natarajar (ether), Thiruvannamalai Arunachaleswara (fire), and Kalahasti Nathar (wind).

Over 5000 families are engaged in the silk weaving industry, crafting sarees from pure mulberry silk thread.
