A beautiful trek with family through Langtang Valley - A wonderful week spent with family trekking through Langtang Valley. Our guide Pemba, and his brother Kailash as our porter guided us through the most incredible week, looking after our every need and offering insights to the valley’s landscape and local culture. Both Pemba and Kailash always had a smile on their faces and always welcomed our questions, making our trip even more special. Additionally, everyone we encountered on our trip were lovely and hospitable, welcoming us into their tea-houses and cooking us delicious food. This made the experience even more enjoyable. As we were shorter on time, Magical Nepal tailored the trek to our timings while ensuring we made it up to the viewpoint at 4400 metres! Whilst this was my first trek, it has inspired me to come back and try many more (particularly Manaslu which Pemba raved about) and without a doubt I’d go with Magical Nepal (and Pemba and Kailash) every time.

Forever memories in Langtang Valley - The trek experience Langtang Valley is a stunning place that draws you in with its varied landscapes as you make your way through the lower gorge, to the valley opening and on to the high altitude valley head at the village of Kyanjin Gompa at 3870 meters. Starting at Syabrubesi you climb nearly 1000 meters through the beautiful, hot and verdant bamboo and sub-tropical rainforest to Lama Hotel. A stunning riverside setting of quaint teahouses. The trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang Village (another 1000 meters of ascent) is incredible as you catch your first glimpses of the high, snow capped mountain tops, through the verdant forest, a personal highlight. Finally, you continue to rise to Kyanjin Gompa surrounded by jaw-droppingly gorgeous high peaks, glaciers and lakes framed against picture perfect blue skies. Weaving your way up the gorge and through to the valley you pass many teahouses, villages and communities who always welcome you with a broad smile, a motivating wave and an enthusiastic “namaste”. Beautifully warm and encouraging people to match a beautiful place. Our trekking guide was Pemba, and our porter Kailash. A dynamic duo of un-ending support, professionalism, encouragement, motivation and enthusiasm. Pemba’s skill and knowledge was so informative adding immensely to our trek. His attention to detail was impeccable and his planning made every day, and element of the trek, right from our hotel pick up to the final drop off in Kathmandu completely hassle free. Most importantly of all though we simply enjoyed spending our time with our new friends Pemba and Kailash. I found Magical Nepal and Saugat through the research I had completed when considering a trek in Nepal, the reviews of their company and experiences of others. I am so happy I did. What a delight to plan my families trek with Magical Nepal and Saugat. So responsive and easy to communicate with and so professional and helpful at every turn, question or query. An absolute joy. Good Time Cool People - KP was our guide and always was on top of anything we needed. This is my second trek with him as my guide and I can say he is quite a friendly cool person. Bishnu came to help with some of the bags and was also a great addition to the team. Highly recommend trying to get this dynamic duo to ensure you have a fun smooth trek.

Jay rocks - I enjoyed my time in Langtang immensely. Aside from the wonderful views and wonderful interactions along the way, Jay made my experience unforgettable. He always made sure I was comfortable and having a great time. He tailored the hike to my liking and adjusted our schedule as needed. He informed me of religious practices and history of areas/sights along the way, including plants and animals. He is very knowledgeable and great at what he does. His happy spirit and energetic attitude made my trip that much better. I am very lucky to have gotten Jay as not only my guide, but now my friend along the way. Unforgettable impressions in Langtang Valley - For the third time we had Magical Nepal organize our trek. 2017 Annapurna, 2023 Tsum Valley and this time to Langtang Valley. The service is excellent: Money exchange, permits for the nature reserves, transfer by bus, off-road vehicle or taxi and finally friendly and competent guides and porters. Our special requests for slightly shorter stages were always fulfilled - our guide Chandra was able to organize other accommodations for us immediately. Shorter stages allowed us to have more time to take pictures but also to do laundry, look around and talk to others. This time we only hiked to about 4000 meters altitude. We skipped the day hikes to the viewpoints at almost 5000 meters. Nevertheless, we had wonderful views and hikes through dreamlike forests of Rhododendron and Himalayan pine. Special moments were the sighting of 2 wild mountain goats, the majestic yaks but also the countless birds. The small luxury of cappuccino with Apple pie in Langtang, the mostly deliciously spiced food are well worth mentioning. If you only have a maximum of 10 days, you should do this tour. We would definitely come back!

Great trekking experience - We did the 8-day Langtang trek with Magical Nepal and had an amazing experience! The trek itself was absolutely beautiful – stunning mountain views, peaceful trails, and welcoming tea houses all along the way. We liked the simple yet comfortable accommodations and the food; every tea house was cozy and served delicious meals. A special shoutout to our guide, KP, who made the trip even more enjoyable. He was knowledgeable, kind, and always made sure we were comfortable. We especially appreciated the fresh fruits he brought for us every day! Thank you KP! Overall, we had a great time and would definitely recommend Magical Nepal for anyone looking to do the Langtang trek.

An amazing week in Langtang Valley - I had an amazing time trekking through Langtang Valley. The valley is such a beautiful and peaceful place. You get to walk with the sound of the river rushing next to you and the amazing views all around. From the beginning, communication with Pradeep and Saugat was great - they were always available to answer questions and always responded very quickly. When arriving in Kathmandu, I met with Saugat and my guide, Pemba to go through the plan for the next week and to answer any of my questions. One of the best parts of the trek was my company - my guide Pemba and his brother Kailas, who was my porter. They both looked after me so well, making sure I was ok both while trekking and in the teahouses. It was a pleasure to spend time with them on this trek, we shared stories, spoke about our cultures, had some fun times and even taught eachother some card games one evening in Kyanjin Gompa! Pemba is very knowledgable and will teach you so much about Langtang valley and also other areas in Nepal. They both made this experience unforgettable.

A brilliant adventure :) - This was a truly unforgettable experience, made even better by Magical Nepal and my awesome guide KP! February was the perfect time to take on this Trek. The trail was peaceful, and KP managed to put us up in really cosy spots every night, despite the off season. After each day of trekking, I could rest and recharge with great food and a comfy bed to relax in. The most challenging day of the trip was the hike up Tserko Ri, which tops out at over 4900 meters! Despite some altitude sickness (and really tired legs), KP helped me reach the top — and just about in one piece! This was absolutely the highlight of my time in Nepal. The views from Tserko Ri have to be seen to be believed, and the intense hike is well worth it! Huge thanks to KP and Magical Nepal for such a great adventure :) Go Team Marathon!
