Transitioning from vibrant rain and temperate forests to the alpine zone, the landscape and its inhabitants transform as the trek advances each day, providing those on the journey a tempting glimpse into Nepal’s cultural and natural splendour.
The path meanders up and down, crossing multiple traditional settlements en route. This exceptional journey commences in Pokhara, with the initial section winding through vibrant green highlands typical of Nepal’s core region.
Small villages with thatched roofs, nestled among terraced farms, create a captivating vista against the majestic background of the snow-capped Annapurna, Manaslu, and Dhaulagiri ranges, including the most magnificent peak in the Himalayas, the Machapuchere (Fish Tail). The enjoyable trek finally descends to the lowland at Tatopani (hot spring), before moving on to Beni for the return drive to Pokhara and subsequently Kathmandu.
