Swayambhunath Temple - Kathmandu Valley is an ancient city rich in diverse cultures and traditions, playing a significant role in Nepal’s history. Home to seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites, it has been a focal point for cultural and historical studies and excursions. Throughout the day, we will explore some of these UNESCO sites in Kathmandu.
Fly Kathmandu - Paro
Paro Airport Bird’s Eye View Point - According to our flight schedule, we will fly to Bhutan, arriving in Paro (Bhutan’s only international airport) in the morning. Upon arrival, we will visit Simtokha Dzong (built in 1627, known as the “Palace of the Profound Meaning of Secret Mantras”) while traveling to Thimphu.
Punakha Sightseeing
Punakha Dzong - From Thimphu, a scenic drive takes us to Punakha over Dochu La (3,200 m). In Punakha, we will visit Punakha Dzong, also known as Pungtang DechenPhotrang Dzong (meaning “the palace of great happiness or bliss”). After observing the administrative and cultural center, we will proceed to Chimi Lhakhang en route to Wangdiphodrang, a large village with a monastery built in 1638, showcasing traditional Bhutanese architecture. Spending some time in Wangdiphodrang, located on a hill, we will enjoy the confluence of the Mo and Tang rivers, picturesque settlements, and then drive back to Thimphu.
Thimphu Sightseeing and Drive to Paro
Thimphu Chorten (Memorial Chorten) - We will spend the day touring Thimphu, the capital of the Kingdom of Bhutan. First, we will visit the Memorial Chorten, built in honor of the third King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, followed by Cheri Monastery and Tashichho Dzong (Fortress of the Glorious Religion). The city’s rich traditional architectural monuments will amaze you. After our city tour, we will drive to Paro.
Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest) Sightseeing
Paro Taktsang - Early in the morning, we will hike to Taktsang Monastery, which takes about 3-4 hours. Walking along high ridges adorned with colorful Buddhist prayer flags, offering stunning views of the Himalayas and incredible vistas into the valleys below, we will visit a farmhouse in the afternoon.
Fly Paro - Kathmandu
Pashupatinath Temple - From Paro to Kathmandu: Depending on your flight time, you will be escorted to the airport. You will fly back to Kathmandu in the morning, where we will meet you at the airport and take you to the hotel for some rest and free time. In the late afternoon, we will visit Bouddhanath Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and have the chance to make some rounds for good luck. In the evening, we will visit Pashupatinath, a sacred Hindu temple complex located on the banks of the holy Bagmati River. It is the holiest place in Nepal, dedicated to Lord Shiva. Observing an ancient ritual Aarati will bring a positive and delightful feeling of happiness. It is a must-see when in Kathmandu.
Kathmandu to Chitwan National Park
Chitwan National Park - After breakfast, we will drive to Chitwan National Park, home to the rare One Horned Rhinoceros and Bengal Tiger. The drive from Kathmandu takes about 5 hours through beautiful landscapes and villages. We will then check into the safari lodge. After lunch, you will have some free time to stroll around and relax. In the evening, we will enjoy the famous sunset view, a Tharu village excursion, a cultural show, and later have dinner in the best Nepali tradition.
Chitwan Safari
Chitwan Tharu Village - Right after breakfast, we will explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site - National Park. We will start with a jungle jeep safari, visit an elephant sanctuary, take a canoe ride to observe crocodiles, and end the day with bird watching.
Chitwan to Pokhara
Lakeside-6, Pokhara - After breakfast, we will drive to Pokhara, which is about a 4-hour drive from Chitwan through charming villages and beautiful hills. In Pokhara, we will visit the International Mountain Museum and later walk along Phewa Lake to enjoy the evening at the lakeside. Overnight at the hotel.
Pokhara Tour
Sarangkot - First thing in the morning, we will drive to Sarangkot to witness a stunning sunrise view over the Annapurna Himalayas. It is an experience you will cherish for years. After breakfast, we will take a boat across Phewa Lake and do a short hike to the World Peace Stupa. Then, we will descend towards Davis Fall and visit a Tibetan Refugee camp on the way. The afternoon is free for you to either enjoy the beautiful lake city or rest.
Pokhara to Kathmandu
Kathmandu Durbar Square - From Pokhara to Kathmandu: After breakfast, we will drive back to Kathmandu. If time permits, we will stop in the lovely village of Bandipur to enjoy the view from the top and stroll through the streets with authentic restaurants and cafes. We will arrive in Kathmandu in the evening, where we will have a briefing about the Tibet tour over dinner and pack for the next day.

Rongbuk Monastery - After breakfast, you will begin your journey to New Tingri, passing by the most sacred cave of Milarepa Yogi, dating back to the 11th century, and the birthplace of Milarepa. Continue driving through Gongthang La Pass at an elevation of over 5000m, then drive along Pekutso Lake and advance to Old Tingri, about 100 km from Pekutso. It is a gathering place for climbers before and after their summits. The scenery is breathtaking, with Shishapangma Snow Mountain on the right and Pekutso on the left. If the weather is clear, you will see Mount Everest for the first time on the way to Old Tingri. You will continue driving on the Friendship Highway and reach New Tingri after a one-hour drive.

Potala Palace - You will spend two full days exploring the capital of Tibet on walking tours with local guides: Jokhang Temple (the most sacred and important temple in Tibet), Barkhor Street and Bazaar (Barkhor Street is an ancient round street surrounding the Jokhang Temple), Potala Palace (a former residence of the Dalai Lama until the 14th Dalai Lama left for India), and the original Dropenling Handcraft Center and workshop. Here, you can find unique, high-quality products made using traditional techniques. Norbulingka Palace, the largest man-made palace in Tibet, is also on the itinerary, along with many more sites.
Drive to Shegar
Jokhang Temple - Lhasa offers so much to explore that it cannot all be fit into one day. Enjoy your second day in this truly unique city. It’s a great day to try local delicacies and street food, which are very safe for your stomach.
Drive to Kathmandu
Kathmandu Durbar Square - This is the day you return to Kathmandu. Depending on your flight status, you may have free time to shop in Thamel, relax in a spa after a long journey, and enjoy a farewell dinner to share the highlights of the journey with each other. If time allows, visit Bhaktapur city, and you’ll fall in love with it.
