The Dakshinkali Temple, a revered Hindu pilgrimage site, is located at the junction of two sacred streams in a rocky forested area. This temple is dedicated to the goddess Kali, known as the fiercest form of Parvati. To appease the goddess’s desire for blood, pilgrims bring various animals to the temple, where they are sacrificed and prepared by the temple priests, who are also skilled butchers.
- Pharping - At 01:00 pm, you will arrive in Pharping and begin exploring Asura Cave, the self-arising Ganesh, Vajrayogini temple, Shesnarayan temple, and Gorakhnath temple.
- Chilancho Bahal - Around 03:00 pm, you will drive back to Kiritpur Town.
Kirtipur is believed to be one of the oldest settlements in the valley. It is an excellent place to learn about the Newar people, one of Nepal’s many unique ethnic groups and the original inhabitants of the Kathmandu Valley. Visit Kirtipur for its stunning architecture, hilltop temples, and panoramic city views. During this tour, you will see the Bagh Bhairab temple, Chilancho Stupa shrine, Uma Maheshwar temple, and a Theravada Buddhist monastery.
The trip concludes in Kirtipur, and a private vehicle with an English-speaking driver will return you to your hotel at around 4:30 pm.
