Trip Detail

After a refueling stop at Lukla, the flight continues to the airstrip in Syangboche, situated at 12,340 feet (3,761 meters). If desired, breakfast can be enjoyed at Hotel Everest View, where the helicopter will land at the hotel’s helipad. From Syangboche, the tour brings you closer to Mt. Everest and other magnificent peaks like Amadablam, Pumori, Number, and Cho Oyu.

• Lukla - Kathmandu to Lukla (2,845 meters) (45-minute flight)
  The Everest helicopter tour begins in Kathmandu. Upon reaching the domestic airport, board the helicopter and head to Lukla. The flight to Lukla offers mesmerizing views, flying over the lush jungles of the Kathmandu Valley. As you cross the valley, witness the majestic views of the lush hills of central Nepal, part of the great Mahabharat range. Hovering above scattered settlements along the central hills of Nepal, you will arrive at the picturesque settlement of Lukla, nestled on a hilltop.
  The flight duration is approximately 30 to 45 minutes. Upon arrival in Lukla, take a short break for helicopter refueling, lasting around 10 to 15 minutes, before continuing to Kala Patthar.
• Kala Patthar - Lukla to Kala Patthar (5,550 meters) (15-20 minute flight)
  Kala Patthar is a renowned vantage point in the Khumbu region, situated at an elevation of 5,550 meters. Trekkers often visit this area for a unique perspective of the region, with majestic views at dawn. A 15 to 20-minute flight takes you to the summit of Kala Patthar, passing over various settlements along the classic Everest trail. Fly over Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Dingboche, Gorak Shep, and the deep wilderness of Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

At Kala Patthar, enjoy a half-hour stop to admire the majestic view of the Khumbu region before heading to the Everest View Hotel.

• Everest View Point - Kala Patthar to Everest View Hotel (12-minute flight)
  Flying alongside the mountain giants and through the deep wilderness of the Khumbu region, head to the Everest View Hotel. The flight is brief, but the views are breathtaking. The Everest View Hotel is one of the highest hotels in the world, offering 360-degree views of the Khumbu region’s mountains.
• Everest View Point - Breakfast at the Everest View Hotel (30-minute stop)
  Upon arrival at the hotel, enjoy breakfast with views of the Himalayas and the lush woodlands of evergreen fir trees, shrubs, and rhododendron forests. After a 30-minute stop, proceed to Lukla.
• Lukla - Everest View Hotel to Lukla for refueling (15-minute flight)
  Marvel at the grand views of the snow-capped mountains and lush wilderness of the Khumbu region. Flying over several settlements along the trail, you will reach Lukla. Here, the helicopter will refuel, allowing for a brief break of around 10 to 15 minutes. After refueling, return to Kathmandu.

  The flight takes approximately 45 minutes, covering a distance of 136 kilometers. Fly past the mountains and alpine terrain towards the lush hills of central Nepal. Hovering above various rural settlements and cities, you will reach the bustling Kathmandu Valley. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, a representative will assist with your accommodation. The rest of the day is free to explore this vibrant city, either on a guided tour or at your leisure.
