- Already booked a trekking package to the mountains of Nepal and still wondering about the essential equipment for your trekking journey? We are pleased to offer our checklist for your references. You can make necessary amendments to our checklist as per your need and convenience. In case, you couldn’t get any of the following listed items in your hometown or were in rush before your flight to Kathmandu, don’t panic! The equipment necessary can be easily purchased in the shops in Kathmandu.
- Again, if you are worrying about the quality of gears available in Kathmandu then majority of them are manufactured locally and some are imported from China and they are of awesome quality. Remember to keep your luggage as light as possible for a convenient travel. A porter is available for two people who will carry up to 25 kg at maximum, therefore, keep this in mind before you pack your bags!

Trek to Everest Base Camp - Excellent trek, they went beyond expectations, I can only say from my personal experience that this is a top notch group of people, my guide Uttam was sensational.They set us up for a few nights at the Woodapple Hotel in Kathmandu, it was perfect. Highly recommend.

EBC amazing trek - Amazing Everest Base Camp Trek with Nepal Hiking Team..
I just got back from the Everest Base Camp trek with Nepal Hiking Team, and honestly, it was one of the best experiences of my life. Everything was super well organized from the moment we landed in Kathmandu until the very end of the trip.
What really made the difference for us was our guide, Ganga. He was absolutely fantastic – always there when we needed something, super knowledgeable about the local history, culture, and geography, and just an all-around great person to be around. You could tell he really cared about the group and made sure everyone was doing okay, both physically and mentally.
It wasn’t just about guiding us through the mountains – Ganga made us feel safe, supported, and part of something special. His stories, patience, and good energy kept us going even on the tough days.
If you're thinking about doing a trek in Nepal, I can't recommend Nepal Hiking Team enough. And if you get Ganga as your guide – you're in the best hands!

Incredible team ensuring best once in a lifetime experience - An incredible once in a lifetime experience made possible and more enjoyable with the Nepal hiking team. Special thanks to our team of guides and porters - Paban(senior guide), Kamal (assistant guide), Manoj (porter and part-time assistant guide), Balbahadur (porter), and Deepinder(porter). They made sure our all girl gang felt comfortable throughout the journey, paying extra attention when the energy or mood was low and ensuring we finished our food and water quotas. They also arranged a timely evacuation for one of our friends when she was sick with AMS. Ganga was also extremely responsive. All our stays were enjoyable. Thank you Nepal Hiking Team!

EBC Unique Experience - We are group of 15 people heading to EBC with the great luxury service of Ganga ji and his excellent guides he assign. I can't thank enough to Nepal Hiking Team crew with the services (Food, lodging, logistic service etc). Their service is top class from Day 0(picking up from Aiprot) to Day 15ty(dropping off Airport) was so excellent. Their entire team is so connected throughout the trip with perfect guidance.
I want to thank Ganga ji as his communication is prompt and very directive to support arrange our cutsom trip.

Amazing EBC Trip! - Our **two-week team trek to Everest Base Camp** was a perfectly planned adventure, balancing challenge, acclimatization, and breathtaking Himalayan scenery. The **itinerary** was structured to maximize the experience while ensuring a steady pace, with stops at Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Dingboche, and beyond, each offering stunning landscapes and cultural insights.

Great Trek Company - I did the Everest Base Camp trek with Nepal Hiking Team in early May 2025 and it was a great experience. The trek itself is well trafficked and not that different across providers but what really stood out for us was the top notch service with this company. From seamless communications prior to arrival, to the best guide and porter team we could have asked for (shout out to Paban, Manoj & Balu), to little things like post trek luggage storage and airport taxi arrangements, the Nepal Hiking Team went above and beyond our expectations. Highly recommend!

Incredible experience - In May, two friends and I set out on an incredible adventure to Everest Base Camp. We chose to go with Nepal Hiking Team based on their great reviews—and they absolutely lived up to the hype.
From the very beginning, communication was clear and professional, giving us confidence and peace of mind. Our guide, Ganga Tamang, even spoke quite a bit of Dutch—helemaal goed! It was immediately clear that he was highly experienced and knew exactly what he was doing. That level of expertise was not only reassuring, but it also gave all of us the trust and motivation we needed to reach our goal.
Ganga shared fascinating stories and insights about the region, the trek, and Nepal in general, which really enriched the experience. Alongside him were our fantastic assistant guides, Tek and Indra, who were always ready to help and made the journey even more memorable.
A special shoutout to the true superheroes of the trek—Dipesh, Sete, Sunil, and Bindra. Their strength, support, and positive energy were unmatched.
In short, it was an amazing trip and an unforgettable experience—one I will cherish forever. A huge thank-you to Master Ganga and his entire team for making it a 100% Mission Complete!

Best Trek Ever! - My daughter and I did the EBC trek. I am 73 years old, so any undertaking like this can be a little challenging, but things could not have gone better. Ganga, one of the principals of the company, made sure all arrangements and preparations for the trip proceeded efficiently and smoothly . Our guide, Paban, ran the entire trek dealing with all the guest houses and tea houses so that our trip was flawless and safe. We successfully made it to EBC without a hitch. Paban was professional, friendly and effective in everything he did- even to the point of helping an old man with his pack and showing us around the markets after the trip. Our porter was always there in the background, carrying the heavy loads and assisting Paban wherever possible.
I really can’t say enough about how pleased we were with our trek and how well things went. When I return to Nepal (and I will) I will definitely go with Nepal Hiking Team again, and I certainly recommend that you do the same!
