Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 m/4,593 ft).
Ace the Himalaya - Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, an airport representative from Ace the Himalaya will greet you, holding a signboard with the company’s name outside the terminal. You will then be transported to your hotel in a private tourist vehicle.

Note: A pre-trek meeting will be held at our office on either Day 01 or Day 02. During this meeting, your trek leader/guide will be introduced. Please bring your passport, three passport-sized photos, and a readable copy of your travel insurance policy. Any outstanding balance should be settled, and the legally binding trip form and non-liability disclaimer should be signed during this meeting.
Flight to Lukla (2,804 m/9,199 ft) and Trek to Phakding (2,610 m/8,562 ft) - 3 to 4 hours.
Phakding - The day begins early with a transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu for a scenic 35-minute flight to Tenzing and Hillary Airport in Lukla (2,804 m). Upon arrival, your guide will provide a briefing and introduce the porters before starting the trek to Phakding (2,610 m).
After landing, there is time to explore the village while the Sherpa crew organizes and loads the trekking equipment. The trek begins with a descent towards the Dudh Kosi River, joining the main trail to Namche Bazaar, just above Chaunrikharka (2,713 m). The walk is easy, passing through the small village of Ghat (2,550 m) before reaching Phakding.
Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,441 m/11,289 ft) – 5 to 6 hours.
Namche Bazaar - The trek continues along the banks of the Dudh Kosi, crossing the river multiple times on thrilling suspension bridges adorned with prayer flags. After entering Sagamartha National Park, the trail ascends steeply, offering breathtaking views. Namche Bazaar, known as the Gateway to Everest, features numerous quality restaurants, hotels, lodges, shops, money exchange services, internet cafes, and bakeries. It is the largest town on the Everest trail.
Namche Bazaar Acclimatization Day
Namche Bazaar - A day is spent in Namche Bazaar to acclimatize and adjust to the altitude. A short trek leads to a museum showcasing the traditional customs of the Sherpa people. A hike to Syangboche Airport and the Everest View Hotel, one of the world’s highest hotels, offers rewarding views of the Himalayas, including Mt Everest.
Trek to Phorste Thanga (3,680 m/12,073 ft) – 5 to 6 hours.
Trek to Machherma (4,470 m/14,665 ft) – 5 to 6 hours.
Machhermo - The trek ascends a ridge for excellent views down the valley to Kengtega and up towards Cho Oyu, then descends to a river before climbing steeply to the terminal moraine of the Ngozumpa glacier. Arrival in Machherma is by early noon.
Trek to Gokyo (4,790 m/15,715 ft) – 5 to 6 hours.
Trek to Gokyo Ri (5,483 m/17,841 ft) and Return to Gokyo – 5 to 6 hours.
Gokyo Ri - An early morning steep climb leads to the summit of Gokyo Ri at 5,483 m. The effort is rewarded with stunning views of the Gokyo valley, the massive Ngozumpa glacier, and a panoramic view of the Khumbu Himalayas, including Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu, Cho-Oyu, and Gychung Kang.
Trek to Thangna (4,500 m/14,763 ft) – 4 to 5 hours.
Cross Cho La Pass (5,300 m/17,388 ft) and Trek to Dzongla (4,710 m/15,452 ft) – 7 to 8 hours.
Trek to Lobuche (4,910 m/16,108 ft) – 4 to 5 hours.
Lobuche - A relatively easier and shorter trek leads to Lobuche after 4 hours of trekking.
Trek to Everest Base Camp (5,365 m/17,602 ft) and Return to Gorak Shep (5,180 m) – 7 to 8 hours.
Everest Base Camp - This challenging day involves walking along the Khumbu Glacier to Everest Base Camp at 5,365 m, the closest point to Mt. Everest without mountaineering gear. In spring, expedition teams may be preparing for the summit. The view of the Khumbu Icefall from Base Camp is spectacular. Return to Gorak Shep for the night.
Hike to Kala Patthar (5,555 m/18,225 ft) Early Morning and Trek Down to Pheriche (4,200 m) – 7 to 8 hours.
Kala Patthar - This challenging yet rewarding day involves climbing Mt. Kala Patthar, a small peak at 5,555 m. The ascent is demanding but offers a magnificent mountain panorama: Everest, the highest point on Earth at 8,848 m, towers directly ahead, surrounded by giants like Nuptse, Pumori, Chagatse, Lhotse, and others. A quick descent to Gorak Shep is followed by a hot breakfast, then a trek down to Pheriche.
Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,441 m/11,289 ft) – 7 to 8 hours.
Namche Bazaar - The descent from the mountains passes through Pangboche and Tengboche before reaching Namche Bazaar in the afternoon.
Trek to Lukla (2,804 m/9,199 ft) – 6 to 7 hours.
Lukla - The final day of trekking returns to Lukla, where the journey began. This time is for reflecting on the trek and the personal achievements of all participants. The afternoon is free for relaxation, exploration, and enjoying a hot shower. In the evening, celebrate with drinks and dancing with fellow trekkers.
Morning Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu
Kathmandu - The 35-minute scenic flight back to Kathmandu offers a last glimpse of the mountains. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred back to the starting hotel.
For those interested in extending the trip, options include a Chitwan jungle safari, river rafting adventure, Kathmandu shopping tour, mountain biking, and other activities.
Transfer to the International Airport for Final Departure.
Kathmandu - The trip concludes with a transfer to Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu for your departure flight from Nepal.
