Gokyo to EBC trek - Thank you Ace the Himalayas for organising a superb experience. It surpassed all my expectations. The team was excellent at providing logistics support during this 12 day excursion. Their knowledge and experience within the Himalayan trekking world was superb and without their enthusiasm we wouldn't have been able to achieve our trekking goals was A huge thank you to our trekking guide Nimesh (Baikuntha) who was exceptional throughout the tour and getting us safely back on the helicopter back to Kathmandu. His expertise on the mountain truly shone through. I'll definitely be back to trek with Nimesh and the Ace team on future adventures. 😀

Excellent - Nima was an excellent guide, and with crazy snow and weather to manage, was super flexible on our options, and gave us good guidance on both decision making and timing of decisions. He had a much appreciated approach of safety first, and ultimately his recommendation to turn back in snow chaos was clearly the right decision. Ghanesh and Sunam, who were guiding another group we were walking with, were super friendly and helpful on the way as well. Ghanesh in particular looks after different walking speeds very well. Overall the trip was very well organised and super flexible. Ace also booked the best flights to give us the best chance of getting to Lukla. My only recommendation of improvement is that while the microspikes are only "recommended" - they were a lifesaver and would recommend everyone have a pair just in case of a weather event.

Gokyo to EBC trek with Ace the Himalaya - Ace the Himalaya has been exceptional to travel with from the start. The moment I arrived they took great care of me. When I arrived at the airport, already my guide, Raj N, was there to pick me up. From there, I did not have to worry about anything. We had a meeting before the trek, which explained what we could expect from our trek to Gokyo and Everest Base Camp. During the trek, Raj N was constantly asking how we were (to keep track of altitude sickness symptoms), open to all our questions and making sure we were walking at the right pace. Everyday, we would stay at guesthouses, where the food was great and we were accommodated by friendly people. Considering the trek itself: I think this is the most beautiful trek I have ever done and it was also a good challenge. Gokyo Ri was the most beautiful place, while Chola pass was the biggest challenge. Towards the end, we started to have more and more fun together, partially because of Raj N’s great humour and comradeship. All in all: if you are unsure to do the EBC trek, or with what company to go, just do it, and do it with Ace the Himalaya!

Stunning Views from Gokyo to Everest Base Camp - This was a truly challenging and amazing experience. Having the addition of the Gokyo Lakes is absolutely worth it for the views alone, but it has the added benefit of taking you more off the beaten path from most of the rest of the groups that are only doing Everest Base Camp. The whole trek was well organized and is definitely a great value for the price. Ace the Himalaya was very communicative and helpful ahead of time, prompt in getting me to and from the airport, and has a great staff. The price you pay is pretty inclusive, outside of what you’ll spend on a ticket to/from Kathmandu & whatever gear you’re bringing, there’s very little you’ll be paying for on the trek besides the occasional snack/drink or souvenir. The flight to Lukla (also included in the price of the tour) normally involves a 5 hour drive to Ramechhap first before flying over. Ace the Himalaya put in the extra work to get our group on direct flights from Kathmandu, for both directions, saving us a total of 10 hours of bumpy rides. Our guide, Ramesh, was great the entire time. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, kept an eye out for symptoms of altitude sickness & other common maladies, and steered us in the right direction on food when needed. He also made every effort to make sure we had the best time, sometimes altering the itinerary a bit to give us better trekking days or so that we could stay in better villages. He’s very aware of where to take good photos and will often grab your phone to get photos/videos of you and the rest of the group (and occasionally run down a steep hillside with it to get a great shot of the landscape or of an animal). He’s also fun to play cards with in the evening. Accommodations get somewhat limited the further out you go, especially for the Gokyo stretch of the journey, but I had a great time at all of them and we often got to stay at nicer places when the opportunity presented itself. Food was delicious. The selection looks pretty similar throughout most of the trek, that can’t really be helped, but it was always good. Overall, I can’t say enough good things about the trip I took. If I do another trek out in Nepal again, I’d definitely look at Ace the Himalaya to plan it. And if I get Ramesh as my guide again, even better!

Amazing experience of a lifetime on Gokyo to EBC Trekking - I just had an extraordinary two-week trek with Ace The Himalaya and couldn’t be happier with the experience. Our guide, Raj Kumar, was very kind, supportive, and went above and beyond by adjusting our itinerary as trail conditions changed due to weather, ensuring our safety and comfort. Our porter, Hem, proved both incredibly strong and genuinely warm-hearted kind person. The journey to Everest Base Camp, Kala Patthar, Cho La Pass, and Gokyo Ri was very challenging, but the guidance and support from Raj, and Hem made every moment rewarding. Ace The Himalaya delivered an unforgettable adventure—highly recommended for anyone seeking the best of the Himalayas.

An unforgettable experience in the Himalayas - Me and the my partner arrived in Kathmandu on the 6th October for our 2 week hike, Gokyo to Everest base camp, slightly apprehensive due to terrible weather conditions proceeding our departure date. We opted for the helicopter ride from KTM - Lukla as we were hearing of huge delays and even longer bus journeys. Ace immediately arranged this for us and introduced us to our guide Tej Regmi who dealt with all the proceedings at the chaotic airport and got us to Lukla on schedule. Though this was one of those situations were we did it as a bit of an emergency so it wouldn't interfere with our itinerary we are so happy we did the helicopter ride, if you can afford it I would 100% recommend, the views were insane In Lukla we met our porter Rana Magar who greeted us with a huge friendly smile and took our bags straight off the helicopter and to our first nights stay. What we experienced over the next 2 weeks was something me and my fiancé will never forget, a mixture of breathtaking scenery, friendly smiles, world class trekking, Yaks, donkeys, snow capped mountains, so much Dal Bhat and plenty of Namaste. The days were tough going especially as we ascended and started getting minor symptoms of altitude sickness, mainly the headaches but we were never made to feel like we were going to slow and Tej allowed us to take as many breaks as we needed to catch our breath, have water breaks and load up on snacks. I was a little bit concerned of getting hungry throughout the trek but there was always enough food when we stopped. Having plenty for breakfast, lunch and dinner and lots of opportunities to buy snacks on the way. (So many Snickers were eaten!) However I did manage to loose 4kg by the end of the trip, due to the amount of calories been burnt!! Tej was a fantastic guide who would always be up for a few card games, some that we taught him and some that he taught us at the end of a tough day of hiking and UNO of course! He introduced us to his family and invited us around for tea and biscuits at his place in Lukla which we were extremely grateful for. Our porter Rana was a true gentleman and the unsung hero of the trip, the bags they have to carry by themselves over tough terrain without a complaint is truly amazing these people need huge respect and we will be forever grateful for the efforts to help us. I even got Tej to be the cameraman for when I made the proposal to my girlfriend up on the mountain, if you're reading this Thanks for Tej! We will never forget that moment! Don't forget to take the rubbish down off the mountain either there are disposal centres as you walk back down to lukla where you can take 1kg bags of rubbish back with you a great incentive to keep this beautiful part of the world clean from plastics that are left up there. We were taken out at the end of the trip to a local restaurant in Kathmandu and got to have dinner with some of the other guests on other trips this was a nice touch to the end of amazing couple of weeks. Overall I would definitely recommend Ace as I thought the instructions given beforehand were very informative and clear. The responses for any questions I had by email and WhatsApp were quick. We will never forget this trip thank you ACE, Tej and Rana Namaste.

Amazing experience, Best guide and porter, Stunning trek, Adventure of a lifetime - I’ve just finished two incredible weeks with Ace The Himalaya, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. My guide, Raj Kumar, was kind, supportive, and always ready to help, and my porter, Haym, was unbelievably strong and genuinely one of the sweetest people I’ve met. During the trek I faced challenges like Everest Base Camp, Kala Patthar, Cho La Pass, and Gokyo Ri, but with my amazing group, and with Raj and Haym by my side, it all felt manageable and enjoyable. I can wholeheartedly recommend booking with Ace The Himalaya for any adventure in the Himalayas. They made the entire journey unforgettable.

Nepal - Gokyo to EBC with guide Ganesh and porter Sonam - My recent trek from Gokyo to Everest Base Camp became an unforgettable adventure when a five-day storm brought snow blizzards and relentless monsoon-like rain. Despite the tough weather, my guide Ganesh and porter Sonam from ACE the Himalayas ensured I felt safe, supported, and engaged throughout. Ganesh showed outstanding professionalism, calmness, and care, making sure I was comfortable, informed, and confident regardless of the conditions. Both he and Sonam went the extra mile to prioritize my well-being with warm hospitality in, detailed attention, and good accommodations even during the worst weather. This journey not only took me through some of the most stunning landscapes but also demonstrated true dedication and compassion. I am deeply thankful to Ganesh and Sonam for transforming what could have been a tough experience into one of courage, trust, and lifelong memories. I highly recommend this team to anyone dreaming of trekking in Nepal—you'll be in excellent hands.
