Arrival in Kathmandu
Kathmandu Durbar Square - Upon arriving in Kathmandu, a representative will warmly welcome you and escort you to your hotel. You will receive a briefing on the trip details, and the remainder of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure.
Kathmandu City Tour (B)
Kathmandu Durbar Square - At 10:30 am, your knowledgeable English-speaking tour guide will meet you at your hotel with a luxurious vehicle for a 6-hour sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Valley, including Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath, and Pashupatinath.
The first stop is Kathmandu Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of three Durbar Squares in the Kathmandu Valley. Despite some buildings collapsing during the earthquake on April 25th, 2015, the stunning art and architecture of the ancient Malla and Shah dynasties can still be admired. Also known as Hanuman Dhoka Durbar Square, its name is derived from the statue of Hanuman at the entrance of the ancient royal palace.
Swoyambhu Mahachaitya - Next, visit Swayambhunath, also known as the “Monkey Temple,” located on a small hillock west of Kathmandu city. It is a sacred site for Buddhist pilgrims worldwide. The large eyes painted on the four sides of the main stupa symbolize wisdom and compassion, while the dome at the base represents the entire world. Although affected by the earthquake of April 25th, 2015, the art and architecture at Swayambhunath, believed to date back to the early 5th century, remain visible.
Boudhanath Stupa - Then, proceed to Boudhanath Stupa. Situated on the northeastern outskirts of Kathmandu, it is the largest stupa in the world and a revered site for Buddhist pilgrims. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979, Boudhanath lies on the ancient trade route between Nepal and Tibet. The stupa is said to enshrine the remains of Kassapa Buddha. Founded by Licchivi King, Boudhanath sustained minor damage from the earthquake on April 25th, 2015.
Pashupatinath Temple - Afterward, visit Pashupatinath, a sacred Hindu shrine located on the banks of the Bagmati River to the east of Kathmandu. Believed to have been built by Supuspa Deva, a Licchivi King, Pashupatinath was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979. The main temple, constructed in the Pagoda style, features four main doors, copper roofs with gold coating, and a gold pinnacle. The inner sanctum houses the main idol, while the outer sanctum is an open corridor-like space. Although some buildings in the Pashupati area were damaged, the main structure remained untouched by the earthquake of April 25th, 2015.
At 5:30 pm, the sightseeing tour concludes, and your guide will return you to your hotel.

Davi’s Falls Pokhara - After breakfast, continue with a Pokhara city tour, visiting attractions such as the Bindabashini Temple, Davis Falls, Gupteshwor Cave, Seti Gorge, and the International Mountain Museum.
Davis Falls
Also known as Patale Chhango, this waterfall marks where the Pardi Khola stream disappears underground. During the monsoon, the sound of the water cascading over the falls is deafening. The falls are located about 2km southwest of the airport on the road to Butwal, just before the Tashi Ling Tibetan camp.
According to local legend, the name is a corruption of David’s Falls, referencing a Swiss visitor who fell into the sinkhole and drowned, along with his girlfriend.
Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave - Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave
Across from Devi’s Falls, this revered cave contains a large stalagmite worshipped as a Shiva lingam. The ticket allows you to explore a tunnel behind the shrine, emerging in a damp cavern next to the thundering waters of Devi’s Falls.
Seti River Gorge - Seti Gorge
The roaring Seti River flows through Pokhara, but it remains hidden unless sought out. The river has carved a deep, narrow chasm through the town, turning the water milky white.
International Mountain Museum - International Mountain Museum
This extensive museum is dedicated to Nepal’s mountains, the mountaineers who climbed them, and the people who inhabit them. Inside, you can view original gear from early Himalayan ascents and exhibits on the history, culture, geology, and flora and fauna of the Himalayas.
