Kathmandu Durbar Square is renowned for its ancient historical palaces and religious monuments, featuring both Hindu temples and Buddhist monasteries coexisting in harmony. These sites are recognized as World Heritage sites. A short drive will take you to the inner parts of Kathmandu city, where you can explore the wonders of the old Hanuman Dhoka.
From there, visit the residence and living quarters of the famous Kumari, revered as the Living Goddess (a young girl chosen before puberty, who retires upon reaching womanhood with her first period). Continue your journey to the Monkey Temple, the Swayambhunath Stupa, Boudhanath the Buddhist Stupa, and Pashupatinath, known for its open public ceremonies.
