Sightseeing/City Tour in Kathmandu
Kathmandu - After breakfast, embark on a tour of several of Kathmandu’s most historical and spiritual sites, many of which are UNESCO World Heritage sites. These include the historic Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, the renowned ‘Monkey Temple’ (Swayambhunath), and the Buddhist shrine (Bouddhanath), one of the largest stupas in the world. At noon, have your equipment checked by the trek leader, meet fellow participants, and discuss trip details at ACOH’s office. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Fly to Pokhara, Drive to Syauli Bazaar and Trek to Ghandruk (30 mins flight, 2 hrs drive, and 3 hrs trek)
Ghandruk - Take an early morning flight to Pokhara, where you can enjoy stunning views of the Himalayas from the right side of the plane. Upon arrival in Pokhara, the picturesque lake city, be captivated by magnificent views of the Himalayas, including Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchhre, the five peaks of Annapurna, and more. Later, drive to Syauli Bazaar and begin the trek to Ghandruk. This village is a major recruitment center for the renowned Gurkha soldiers and serves as the hub of the Annapurna Conservation Area Project, which supports various ecological initiatives. Overnight stay in Ghandruk.

Ghandruk to Tadapani (2590m/8497ft) (3-4 hrs)
Tadapani - In Ghandruk, enjoy breathtaking views of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), Annapurna South, and Hiunchuli Mountains. Continue upwards through Deurali and into the dense rhododendron forests. The rhododendron is Nepal’s national flower, and when in bloom, the forests transform into gardens of vibrant red flowers, visible from the air or afar. After trekking over a small pass, arrive in Tadapani, where you can enjoy excellent views of Machhapuchhre, Annapurna, and Hiunchuli mountains. The village is home to many Tibetans who sell souvenirs to tourists. Overnight stay in Tadapani.

Tadapani to Dobato (3350m/10,990ft) (4-5 hrs)
Annapurna Region - After leaving Tadapani, depart from the main trail and spend the next five days trekking in a more remote area of the Annapurna region. Today’s trek offers excitement with the region’s diverse flora and fauna and, of course, the magnificent views of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna South. Following a relatively easy trail, reach Dobato, which is dominated by the excellent view of Annapurna South. Overnight stay in Dobato.

Dobato to Upper Chistibung (2975m/3198ft) (4-5 hrs)
Annapurna Region - After breakfast, descend through open ground and beautiful forest to reach the pastures of Lower Chistibung. Then, ascend gradually through a forest before reaching Upper Chistibung, a temporary herder’s settlement. If fortunate, you might spot the colorful Lophophorus (Danphe), Nepal’s national bird, as well as Himalayan Thar on the grassy ridge high above the trail. Overnight stay in Upper Chistibung.

Trek to Khopra Ridge (3660m/12,007ft) (3-4 hrs)
Khopra Danda Trek - Today, embark on a steady climb above the tree line through alpine meadows and pastures to reach Khopra. As you approach Khopra Ridge, catch sight of the tip of Annapurna South. Upon reaching Khopra, take a short walk down Khopra Ridge to a viewpoint overlooking the Kali Gandaki river far below in this deep valley. From Khopra, admire the stunning mountain panorama, including Mount Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, and Annapurna South. Overnight stay in Khopra.

Rest Day in Khopra Ridge: Tour to Kaire Lake (4500m/14,763ft) (10-11 hrs)
Khopra Danda Trek - Begin the trek around 6 am towards Kaire Lake, where you can enjoy excellent views of the Fang and surrounding mountains. Considered a sacred lake by Hindus, it is believed that bathing in this lake will help attain Nirvana. As Hinduism and Buddhism are intricately related in Nepal, you can see several Hindu and Buddhist shrines by the lakeside. For those who prefer not to walk all the way to the lake, a half-day walk from Khopra can be arranged. Rest and enjoy a packed lunch. Overnight stay in Khopra Ridge.

Trek to Swanta Village (2200m/7217ft) (5-6 hrs)
Khopra Danda Trek - From Khopra Ridge, descend off the hillside and continue downhill on a steep trail. Along the way, enjoy more views of Mount Dhaulagiri, with the mountain providing a lovely backdrop to the terraced fields and traditional houses in the nearby villages. Overnight stay in Swanta village.

Trek to Ulleri (2050m/6725ft) (5-6 hrs)
Ulleri - From Swanta, descend through the village fields to a small river and take a quick look at the local water mill. From here, cross the suspension bridge and head upwards to the village of Chittre, where you will join the main trekking trail at Ghorepani. After Ghorepani, descend through rhododendron forest to Ulleri for an overnight stay.

Trek to Naya Pul then Drive to Pokhara (5-6 hrs trek, 1 hr drive)
Pokhara - On the way to Nayapul, enjoy the stunning hill landscape of western Nepal. The trek concludes at Nayapul, where you will board a vehicle to Pokhara, the beautiful lake city. Even from the city, you are rewarded with magnificent views of the Himalayas, including Dhaulagiri (8167m), Manaslu (8156m), Machhapuchhre (6993m), the five peaks of Annapurna, and more. Check into the hotel and relax. Alternatively, explore the streets of Pokhara and unwind in one of Nepal’s most beautiful cities. Overnight stay in Pokhara.

Sightseeing in Pokhara then Fly to Kathmandu
Kathmandu - Depart the hotel early morning to visit the Shanti Stupa, a Buddhist Stupa ranked as the second top attraction in Pokhara by TripAdvisor. Here, enjoy the breathtaking view of the sunrise over the mighty Himalayas. Continue touring the city’s landmarks, including Davis Falls, Shiva Cave, and the International Mountain Museum (IMM). You can also enjoy boating on Phewa Lake, the largest lake in Pokhara, and visit Bindyabasini Temple located at the center of the lake. Fly to Kathmandu in the late afternoon. In the evening, a farewell dinner will be held to celebrate the successful completion of your journey.

Kathmandu - The journey in Nepal concludes today! A representative from ACOH will escort you to the airport approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight. On the way home, there is plenty of time to plan your next adventure in Nepal. Wishing you a safe journey home.

The following day, we fly to Pokhara and then drive to Syauli Bazaar to start our trekking journey. We break away from the main path after Tadapani and spend the next few days on a secluded trail while stopping over at community tea-houses. This trek is perfect for those who desire to experience the majesty of Mount Annapurna along with the tranquility of less crowded routes. With a mix of unique culture, heritage, and remarkable terrains, this trip is sure to be memorable.
