Kathmandu - Welcome to the city of temples and the land of the Himalayas. Glorious Himalaya extends a warm welcome at Nepal’s sole international airport, Tribhuvan International Airport.
An airport representative will be eagerly awaiting your arrival outside the terminal. From there, you will be transported to your hotel in a private vehicle.
Drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi by local jeep- (1,550m)
Hotel Garden Inn Shyfru Bensi - The journey from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi takes approximately 7 hours by local jeep. The drive begins northward out of the Kathmandu valley, offering stunning views of the foothills. As you travel along the road beside the Trisuli River, you’ll catch glimpses of Ganesh Himal, Tibetan peaks, terraces, and lush green hills.
Trek to Lama Hotel - (2,380m)
Lama Hotel - After breakfast, the first day of trekking to the Lama Hotel begins. The trek follows the Langtang River and passes through dense forests. You’ll cross suspension bridges and navigate a trail that ascends and descends. Upon reaching the Lama Hotel, you’ll spend the night at a lodge.
Trek to Langtang Village - (3,430m)
Trek to Kyanjin Gompa - (3,870m)
Kyanjin Gompa - Today is a leisurely and short trek to Kyanjin Gompa, taking about three hours. Kyanjin is the final human settlement in the Langtang valley. At Kyanjin, you can visit the cheese factory and purchase some cheese, renowned nationwide. Additionally, you can explore monasteries that hold significant religious value for the local people.
Kyanjin Exploration Day
Kyanjin Gompa - Today is dedicated to exploring Kyanjin Gompa and its surroundings. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the region’s natural beauty. Visit ancient Buddhist monasteries and take a short walk to view the icy peaks of Langtang and the glaciers originating from the Himalayas. Another walk to Tserko Ri (5000m) offers a panoramic view of Langtang glaciers and Langshisha Kharka, a picturesque yak pasture. Return to the lodge for an overnight stay.
Trek back to Lama Hotel - (2,380m)
Lama Hotel - After breakfast, the trek descends back to the Lama Hotel. It’s an easy 6-hour walk through beautiful green forests and ethnic Tamang villages.
Trek back to Syabrubesi - (1,550m)
Hotel Garden Inn Shyfru Bensi - After breakfast, trek down to Syabrubesi. It’s an easy 6-hour downhill walk through lush green vegetation from the Lama Hotel.
Drive back to Kathmandu by local jeep - (1,400m)
Kathmandu - After breakfast, take a local jeep or bus from Syabrubesi to Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you’ll be taken to your hotel to freshen up. Enjoy some time shopping or dining in Thamel if you wish.
Departure from Nepal
Kathmandu - Today, you’ll be dropped off at the International airport for your flight back home or onward. Bon Voyage!
