Arrival at Kathmandu Airport, Hotel Transfer, and Trip Briefing

Thamel - Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, an airport representative will greet you with an Outshine Adventure nameplate. You will then be transferred to your hotel. After checking in, you will be taken to our office for documentation and trip information….

Arrival at Kathmandu Airport, Hotel Transfer, and Trip Briefing

Sightseeing in Kathmandu (Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath, and Pashupatinath)

Swayambhu Mahachaitya - Start your day early with breakfast at the hotel. Around 9 am, embark on a tour of Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath, and Pashupatinath. An expert tour guide will accompany you to explain the monuments, and a private car will be provided for sightseeing. In the afternoon, you will have time for equipment shopping or preparation.

Kathmandu to Arughat (670m/2,198 ft) to Soti Khola (710m/2,330ft) 8-9 hrs drive

Soti Khola to Machha Khola (890m/2,920ft) 6-7 hrs

Machha Khola to Jagat (1340m/4395ft) 5-6 hrs

Manaslu - Today, the trek begins on a narrow trail, crossing Tharo Khola before reaching Khorla Besi. You will then arrive at Tatopani, where a small hot spring awaits. Ascend to a ridge, cross the Budhi Gandaki River on a suspension bridge, and continue ascending to Jagat, crossing several other bridges along the way.

Jagat to Deng (2095m/6871ft) 7-8 hrs

Manaslu - After permit checks, ascend a rocky ridge to Salleri, then descend to Sirdibas. Cross a long hanging bridge and ascend towards Philim. The trail passes impressive waterfalls on either side of the valley. Pass Ekle Bhatti, head towards the river, and cross it twice over suspension bridges. From Ekle Bhatti, trek along to pass Pewa, traverse a small campsite, and continue through the valley until reaching the village of Deng.

Deng to Namrung (2,660m/8,725ft) 6-7 hrs

Manaslu - Cross the Budhi Gandaki River and ascend to Rana. Climb up to the west of the Budhi Gandaki valley, passing through lush green forests, charming small villages, narrow gorges, and streams to reach Namrung Village.

Namrung to Lho (3,180m/10,430ft) 3-4 hrs

Manaslu - Trek on a winding trail through the inner Himalayan range. Enjoy stunning views of Mt. Manaslu, Gorkha Himal, Saula Himal, Dwijen Himal, Lajing Peak, and Rupina La Pass. Ascend past chortens, prayer flags, and mani walls to reach Lho Gaon.

Lho to Sama Gaon (3,530m/11,578ft) 5-6 hrs

Manaslu - Begin trekking after breakfast, following the right bank of a river to reach Sama Gaon. Along the way, enjoy views of numerous peaks.

Sama: Rest and Exploration Day: Birendra Tal / Pungyen Gompa / Manaslu Base Camp

Manaslu - It is advisable to rest in Samagaon for more than one night for acclimatization. Enjoy the village and take a short trip to Manaslu Base Camp or Punggen Gompa. Surrounded by mountains in a tranquil forest, hike to Manaslu Base Camp for excellent views of Samdo (Pang Phuchuli), Nagdi Chuli, Simnang Himal, Manaslu Glacier, and Manaslu Ice Fall.

Sama to Samdo (3,860m/12,660ft) 3-4 hrs

Manaslu - Today is a short and easy trekking day to Samdo. Cross several Mani walls and juniper bushes, ascend to a ridge, then descend and cross Buri Gandaki on an old wooden bridge to reach Samdo Village for an overnight stay.

Samdo to Larkya Phedi/Dharamsala (4,460m/14,628ft) 3-4 hrs

Dharapani Temple - Another short and easy trekking day. Depart Samdo, descend towards a bridge, cross the Budhi Gandaki River, and slowly ascend to Dharamsala.

Dharamsala to Larkya La (5,160m/16,930ft) to Bimthang (3,720m/12,201ft) 8-9 hrs

Manaslu - Rise early and begin ascending a ridge. The ascent is not difficult but leads to Larkya La Pass through a rugged path. Enjoy breathtaking mountain views and continue trekking to Bimthang. Ascend briefly, then descend on a loose rocky trail to reach Bimthang.

Bimthang to Gho (2,515m/8,250ft) 5-6 hrs

Manaslu - Descend all the way to Gho village. The trail descends for about 6 hours, leading to Gho for an overnight stay.

Gho to Dharapani (1,920m/6,300ft) 3-4 hrs

Manaslu - Descend all the way to Dharapani. The trail descends for about 4 hours, leading to Dharapani for an overnight stay.

Dharapani to Besi Sahar (760m/2,495ft) to Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft) 9-10 hrs drive

Thamel - After breakfast, begin the journey to Kathmandu. Descend to Besishahar, and upon reaching Kathmandu, transfer to the hotel for rest. Conclude the day with a delightful farewell dinner.

Transfer to International Airport for Final Departure

Thamel - After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the International Airport according to your flight schedule. Additional tours or activities can be arranged if you have extra days available, based on your preferences.

On to the Manaslu. - Thanks to our guide Bikash we were able to experience 12 magnificent days on the Manaslu Circuit. Even when we weren’t fit, our guide took care of us and also weighed up whether it would be sensible to continue or better to get a helicopter. Fortunately, we were quickly healthy again and were able to continue the trek as planned. Nature, the landscape and the people are unique on site. Since there is not always a wide range of accommodation and therefore less competition among guesthouse providers, the quality of food and accommodation varies. However, Bikash had limited influence on this. As far as possible, we were able to adjust the days, the duration of the daily stages and also the breaks during the hike as needed, which helped us to complete the circuit in the planned and paid time of 12 days. Bikash was always very flexible here if possible and necessary and tried to respond to our wishes. Bikash was overall very level-headed as I said and always had health in mind and not that we could get there quickly. Thanks again for the great and eventful tour. We couldn't have done it without you!

An Excellent Trek to Manaslu Circuit with Outshine Adventure! - We embarked on an unforgettable journey along the Manaslu Circuit with Outshine Adventure, exploring additional highlights like Kathmandu Heritage Tours. Outshine Adventure graciously accommodated our request for extra days for an acclimatization and also to include some side trips, demonstrating impeccable professionalism and hospitality throughout our expedition. Our guide, Kumar, stood out with his exemplary service, providing us with insightful guidance, ensuring our health and well-being, and attentively caring for us during moments of fatigue or discomfort. The porters, including Prakash/Bhote ( as they called) and Anil. Kumar, went above and beyond their duties. Not only did they shoulder the weight of our bulky bags throughout the trek, but they also offered invaluable assistance on challenging terrains, ensuring our safety and comfort. Their warm demeanor and genuine Nepali hospitality enriched our journey, making it truly memorable. Thanks to the exceptional team at Outshine Adventure, we had an enriching and delightful experience on the Manaslu Circuit trek, creating lasting memories that we will cherish for years to come. Hopefully not a once in a lifetime trip - I can only hope I can do another trip with Outshine in my lifetime. If you only read this far the company is fantastic, blew expectations out of the water and you should use them for your next trip. Communications from the very beginning were timely and informative from Gokul and his team, within 12 hours we always had a response to any inquiries we had which made us feel in good hands. Upon arrival everything was seamless from pickup to briefing the days ahead. Everything you possibly needed from currency to SIM cards was thought of and helped with. Asmita, checked in routinely to ensure that the trip was going well and to see if anything was needed which it never was because everything was already thought of. The highlight of the trip without a doubt was the trekking, but not just the beautiful mountains, amazing towns, forests and jungles, the main highlight was our guide Shom and our Porters Harka and Barbrom. Shom knew the land and rivers but more than that taught us about local customs, Buddhism, Hinduism, traditions, as well as song and dance and so much more. Every single day was laid out for us and if there were any issues or discomforts he would ensure it was taken care of. We never had any doubts with Shom that we would not make it over the mountain pass, he always went well beyond what was necessary, going out of his way to ensure everything was always perfect. Harka and Barbrom were always there giving a helping hand with a smile on their face and a few times saved us from forgetting some pretty critical items at a tea house! There’s really not enough good to say about the three guys. In addition to trekking we had some additional days and Outshine lined up a trip to Chitwan National Park for us. This was a great short trip that again was added to our overall trip without any hiccups or issues. We enjoyed a great safari jeep tour and canoe river tour viewing beautiful animal and plant life. Our guide and accommodations again were excellent. Every bit of this trip, the drivers, the hotel staff, the guides, Gokul, Asmita, was and is 5-star worthy. You are cared for and everyone is genuinely kind.

Incredible views, even more incredible people - We did the Manaslu circuit and it was the most amazing experience I’ve ever had. I cannot recommend this hike enough. You see everything from emerald glacier rivers from daring suspension bridges, to lush green forests full of life (and monkeys), to absolutely breathtaking views of mountains while you feel like you’re on top of the world, and experience in depth culture and traditions. The only things that beat the views are all the incredible people along the way! They say Nepali people are some of the nicest people in the world and I couldn’t agree more! Our guide Som was the best guide EVER! He was very helpful and knowledgable, and went above and beyond every day to make sure we were comfortable. His great stories, stellar dance moves and words of encouragement are what got us up and over the pass. We also couldn’t have done it without our amazing porters Barburam and Harka. These mountain strongmen were so kind, generous and very patient with our slow legs (and slow brains trying to pick up the nepali they so gracefully taught us). Last but not least, Gokul and Asmita were very helpful in organizing the trip (even with some extra tours of kathmandu and chitwan) before we left and always quick to respond to any of our questions. This was my first time doing a hike like this and my first time in Asia and it would have been very overwhelming to try to organize myself, but everyone at Outshine Adventures made sure it was a smooth and spectacular experience. I will definitely be coming back to Nepal to experience more and asking for the same team to help me experience it!

Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek with Outshine Adventure ! - I have been in Nepal with my friends after talking to Gokul by email several times. After I decided to go with them for Manaslu circuit trekking including Tsum Valley, it was absolutely breathtaking experience trekking in Nepal! The majestic Himalayas, vibrant culture, and warm hospitality made every step memorable. Our guide Som was knowledgeable and ensured our safety throughout. Highly recommend for adventurers seeking unforgettable journeys!" We definitely come back again !

Fabulous trek with Outshine Adventure - In November/December 2023 me and my girlfriend spent wonderful three weeks (18 days of walk) on a trek (Manaslu Circuit + Tsum Valley) organized by Outshine Adventure. This was an amazing experience and the level of service and support we received from the agency and its staff exceeded our expectations. Everyone we dealt with was very friendly, helpful and professional. Before the trek, Gokul (the Director) each time patiently answered in clear manner all of my questions, Asmita (the Manager) took care of us when we arrvied in Kathmandu (always with smile on her face!) and checked every few days if we felt comfortable during the trek. Both our Guide (Chamar) and Porter (Prakash) were fantastic companions and this is really difficult to describe how much they added to our overall experience - we can't imagine how this could be better. They took care of us, adjusted to our needs, wishes and capabilities and showed us the beauty of Nepalese culture and environment. We spent hours having nice and informative conversations. Without any doubt we can recommend services of Outshine Adventure!

Outshine outstanding again - My 4th time using Outshine Adventure was once again incredible. It's when things are tough that a great company comes to the fore. Thank you so much Gokul for looking after our group through the whole Coved 19 disaster. Nabu kept us safe in the mountains and then you took over as the whole country was entering such an uncertain phase. Our group was so well looked after and kept up to date with what was going on. Will definitely be back again in Nepal and Outshine will be the trekking company I'll be using.

Manaslu trek - Gokul and his team did an amazing job. Our trek was amazing, our guide Nabu, and the porters were fantastic. They all went out of their way to assist us. Upon our return to Kathmandu, covid19 restrictions impacted our group. Gokul kept his hotel open for us, and assisted with flights. He went out of his way to make sure our group departed Kathmandu before the flights suspension. It was this local knowledge and customer service that really made the difference. I for one will be returning to Nepal, and Outshine Adventure will be my first choice. Thank you Gokul.
