Kathmandu to Machha Khola 930M
Machhakhola - After an early breakfast, set off on a scenic drive through charming hills, terraced farmlands, and mountain villages to reach Machha Khola. The route follows the Trishuli and Budhi Gandaki Rivers, offering glimpses of rural Nepal.
Machha Khola to Jagat 1340M
Jagat - The trail gently meanders through settlements along the Budhi Gandaki River. Pass through Khorla Besi, a traditional Gurung village, and stop at Tatopani, renowned for its soothing natural hot springs. Continue along suspension bridges and rocky cliffs before arriving at Jagat, a welcoming Gurung village and the official Manaslu permit checkpoint.
Jagat to Deng 1860 M
Manaslu - Ascend to Salleri and descend to Sirdibas, where prayer flags and small gompas line the trail. Continue to Philim, the largest village in the region, and an important checkpoint. After lunch in Chisapani, trek through bamboo forests and millet fields, crossing several suspension bridges before reaching Deng.
Deng to Namrung 2630M
Namrung - A steep climb leads to Bhee Phedi, offering views of Mani walls and mountain ridges. The path continues through forests to Ghap, then follows the Budhi Gandaki River before a final uphill stretch to Namrung—a peaceful village surrounded by forested hills and monasteries.
Namrung to Samagaon 3530M
Samagaun - Today’s trail passes through Sho, Lihi, and Shyala villages, showcasing Buddhist culture, chortens, and terraced fields. Panoramic views of Manaslu, Himchuli, and Nadi Chuli dominate the horizon. The trek gently descends into Samagaon, the region’s largest settlement with rich Tibetan heritage and stunning mountain backdrops.
Acclimatization in Samagaon
Samagaun - Spend the day adjusting to high altitude.
Option 1: Hike to Manaslu Base Camp (4,800m) for breathtaking Himalayan views.
Option 2: Visit Pungyen Gompa, an ancient monastery with sweeping valley vistas. Both options offer excellent opportunities to acclimatize and explore the spiritual side of the Himalayas. Overnight: Samagaon Teahouse

Manaslu - The trail climbs steadily over rocky terrain with increasing altitude. Cross an icy stream and continue toward Dharmashala (Larkya Phedi). The short trek helps conserve energy for the next day’s pass crossing. In the afternoon, take a light acclimatization hike around 200 meters above the camp.
Dharmashala to Bimthang via Larkya La Pass 5106M
Bimthang - Today marks the most challenging and rewarding part of the trek. Start early to cross Larkya La Pass, with breathtaking views of Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, Kang Guru, and Annapurna II. Descend carefully through glacial moraines and alpine meadows to reach Bimthang (3,720m).
Bimthang to Dharapani 1860M
Manang - Descend through lush forests, passing Hampuk, Gho, and several small villages. The scenery transitions from alpine to subtropical landscapes, filled with waterfalls and terraced farmlands. Reach Dharapani by late afternoon.
Dharapani to Kathmandu 1400M
Besisahar, Lamjung - After breakfast, enjoy a scenic 3-hour jeep ride to Besisahar, passing through lush valleys and rural communities. Continue by road for approximately 6–7 hours back to Kathmandu. Celebrate your accomplishment with a farewell dinner in the city.
Final Departure
Kathmandu - After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward flight as per your flight schedule. Bid farewell to Nepal with unforgettable memories of the Manaslu Circuit Trek – Journey Through the Hidden Himalayas.
