Arrival in Kathmandu
Thamel - Welcome to Kathmandu, Nepal! Upon your arrival at the airport, a representative from Asian Heritage Treks and Travels will warmly welcome you with a sign displaying your name. They will assist with your luggage and escort you to a private vehicle that will take you to your hotel.

Arrival in Kathmandu
Thamel - Welcome to Kathmandu, Nepal! Upon your arrival at the airport, a representative from Asian Heritage Treks and Travels will warmly welcome you with a sign displaying your name. They will assist with your luggage and escort you to a private vehicle that will take you to your hotel.
During the drive, you’ll pass notable sites such as the Pashupatinath Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and catch a glimpse of the Royal Palace Museum, also known as Narayanhiti. As you near Thamel, you’ll see the Garden of Dreams along the roadside.
Once you arrive and settle into your hotel, our representative will assist you with your travel itinerary. After completing the formalities, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the charming streets of Thamel. Enjoy your stay and make the most of every moment.
Kathmandu Full-Day Sightseeing
Swayambhunath Temple - On your second day, you’ll explore several UNESCO heritage sites in the Valley. Your first stop is the Swayambhunath Temple, a significant religious and cultural site for Buddhists. Situated on a hill, it offers stunning views of Kathmandu city and the valley. You’ll admire the beautiful stupa with its intricate architecture, prayer wheels, and colorful prayer flags. The temple is also known as the Monkey Temple due to the playful monkeys around. Enjoy watching them, but be cautious with your belongings as they can be mischievous.
Boudhanath Stupa - Next, you’ll visit the Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest spherical stupas in the world. Walking around the stupa in a clockwise direction, a spiritual practice known as “kora,” allows you to experience the serene atmosphere and feel a sense of tranquility. The area around the stupa is vibrant, with numerous shops, cafes, and restaurants. You’ll have some free time for lunch, perhaps at a rooftop restaurant with a view of the stupa, and you can interact with locals to enrich your experience.
Pashupatinath Temple - Following that, you’ll visit the Pashupatinath Temple, a hub of Hindu tradition and spirituality. Here, you’ll witness various religious rituals, prayers, and ceremonies performed by devotees, priests, and holy men. A highlight is the Sandhya Aarti (Evening worship ceremony), where devotees offer prayers with lighted lamps and sing hymns to praise Lord Shiva. The ceremony takes place at the Bagmati River, enhancing the temple’s mystical ambiance.
Thamel - Afterward, you’ll head to Thamel for a special activity: a traditional Tibetan Momo (dumpling) cooking workshop. A local cook will teach you how to make these delicious snacks, and you’ll enjoy a local dinner with your creations. Thamel is known for its vibrant atmosphere, filled with lights and energy. Explore the bustling market stalls and narrow alleys. Thamel offers diverse shopping options, including traditional handicrafts, souvenirs, clothing, and artisanal goods. Bargaining with local vendors can make the shopping experience fun and interactive.
Sightseeing Kathmandu Valley (Bhaktapur and Dhulikhel)
Bhaktapur Durbar Square - Bhaktapur Durbar Square is one of the three renowned king squares in Kathmandu Valley. Here, you’ll find beautiful temples, and your guide will explain the history of this unique place.
Around lunchtime, your guide will take you to special street food stalls for a local street food lunch.
Pottery Square - At Pottery Square, many local artisans craft traditional clay pots. You’ll have the opportunity to participate in a workshop where a local craftsman will teach you how to make a clay pot yourself.
Namo Buddha (Stupa) - Via the Namo Buddha stupa and monastery, you’ll continue your tour to Dhulikhel, a small and tranquil village in Kathmandu Valley.
Dhulikhel to Chitwan (Driving Duration: 6-7 hours)
Chitwan National Park - In the early morning, you’ll drive from Dhulikhel to Chitwan National Park, located in southern Nepal. Upon arrival, a delicious lunch will be served at your hotel.
Chitwan Tharu Village - In the afternoon, a national park guide will show you around a local Tharu village, where you can admire the traditional way of life of the local residents.
Sauraha Tharu Culture House - At the Sauraha Tharu Cultural House, a daily cultural dance performance showcases various music and dance styles from the area. If you wish, you can participate in the dance act yourself.
Full-Day Chitwan Jungle Safari
Chitwan National Park - In the early morning, a local breakfast will be served at your hotel. You’ll explore the national park with a canoe ride along the river to the starting point of a jungle walk. After lunch at the hotel, you’ll visit the jungle by Jeep, where you can spot diverse wildlife, such as rhinos, elephants, birds, and, if you’re lucky, a tiger.
Chitwan to Lumbini (Driving Duration: 4-5 hours)
Lumbini Monastic Site - Lumbini is renowned as the birthplace of Buddha and a world-famous pilgrimage site with numerous temples, cultures, and religions. Lumbini is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site and is one of the most famous pilgrimage sites in Asia. Many countries around the world have their own temples in this area. Upon arrival in Lumbini, your local guide will show you around the many temples and special places of Lumbini. The highlight of this place is seeing the birthplace of Buddha. Tonight, you’ll have the unique opportunity to stay in a guest house inside a monastery.
Lumbini to Pokhara (Driving Duration: 6-7 hours)
Lakeside-6, Pokhara - In the morning, you’ll travel from Lumbini to Pokhara by private transport. Once you arrive in Pokhara, you’ll have free time in the afternoon to explore the lakeside (tourist area) of Pokhara, with its stunning views over Lake Fewa. Here, you’ll find many delightful restaurants, bars, and shops to entertain you for the rest of the day and evening. The lakeside is a fantastic place to enjoy a drink in the evening.
Full-Day Sightseeing in Pokhara
Sarangkot - Today, you’ll start early as you head to Sarangkot (a 30-minute drive) to capture a tranquil and spectacular view over the city before sunrise and witness the first rays of sunlight hitting the mountains in the background. Sarangkot offers panoramic views of Annapurna, Fishtail, Dhaulagiri, and other mountains.
International Mountain Museum - The International Mountain Museum is the place to learn about Nepal’s renowned mountaineering industry. It features an excellent exhibition of Nepal’s famous mountain peaks and climbers.
Devi’s Fall - This waterfall is a popular spot for tourists and locals. The waterfall continues to flow from underground, making it a unique place to visit.
Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave - This sacred cave is located across the street from the waterfall. Inside, you’ll find a large stalagmite worshipped as a Shiva lingam.
World Peace Pagoda - The World Peace Pagoda is situated on a hill overlooking Fewa Lake, the Himalayas, and Pokhara lakeside. Enjoy the breathtaking view, peaceful atmosphere, and sunset at this temple.
Pokhara Adrenaline Paragliding - For adventure-minded travelers, a paragliding flight above Fewa Lake is a must-do. During a 30-minute tandem flight, you’ll have breathtaking views over the Annapurna range. For this activity, a surcharge of 100 USD per person will be charged.
Pokhara to Nayapul, and Start Hiking to Ulleri (Driving Duration: 1.5 hours, Hiking Duration: 5-6 hours)
Nayapul Trekking Starting Point - In the morning, you’ll drive from Pokhara to Nayapul, the trekking starting point. From here, you’ll begin your hike toward Ulleri.
Poon Hill - You’ll start walking through the old villages and meandering green hills. Terraced paddy fields along the neighboring yet distant hills and the wind gushing in your face make for a pleasant and smooth drive with ample time to enjoy the landscape. You’ll have your lunch stop at Hile and continue walking to Ulleri via Thikhedhunga. Upon reaching Ulleri, you’ll check in to the lodge where you can enjoy a traditional Nepalese mountain dinner.
Hike from Ulleri to Ghorepani (Hiking Duration: 4-5 hours)
Poon Hill - You’ll have breakfast at the lodge in Ulleri and then begin your walk to reach Ghorepani. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to learn, understand, and experience the lifestyle of the local mountain people. Along the way, you can enjoy the majestic view of Machhapuchhre (6997m), Huinchuli (6441m), and Annapurna South (7219m), as well as the world’s largest rhododendron forest. You’ll reach Ghorepani in the afternoon and check in to the lodge. Now, you can stroll around the village and interact with the local people and other trekkers, enjoying a great view of the Himalayan mountains from here.
Hike from Ghorepani via Poonhill to Tadapani (Hiking Duration: 6-7 hours)
Poon Hill - In the early morning, you’ll start trekking from Ghorepani to Poon Hill (3210m) and then to Tadapani (2650m). You’ll begin the trek to Poon Hill (3210m) in the early morning to catch the first rays of sunlight. The pleasant sunrise at Poonhill trek passes through culturally rich villages set against the backdrop of majestic mountains. Along with a sunrise view over Mt. Annapurna, Poonhill also offers panoramic views of several mountains, including Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Mountains. You’ll return and have breakfast at Ghorepani, then commence the trek to Tadapani (2650 m). The trek will begin through the thick forest of rhododendrons, bamboos, and oaks. You can observe and appreciate nature’s beauty, including waterfalls, rocks, wild animals, birds, and green valleys.
Hike from Tadapani to Tolka (Hiking Duration: 7-8 hours)
Poon Hill - After breakfast, you’ll start trekking through jungle areas. Today, you’ll walk a longer distance than on other days. Along the way, you’ll pass through different villages, jungles, and streams. After continuous walking for 3 to 4 hours, you’ll see the beautiful Gurung village, known as Ghandruk. You’ll have your lunch and rest for a while. Then, you’ll continue walking to Tolka via another Gurung village, Landruk. You’ll enjoy the beautiful views of the mountain ranges, green hills, and the tiny local villages along the way. Once you reach Tolka, you’ll check in to the lodge.
Hike from Tolka to Australian Base Camp and Drive to Pokhara (Hiking Duration: 5-6 hours, Driving Duration: 1.5 hours)
Poon Hill - Tolka is a place in the Annapurna region where you can see the beautiful view of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna, and other surrounding ranges. After breakfast, you’ll commence walking back towards Pokhara via Australian Base Camp. You’ll enjoy a pleasant walk with a beautiful view of the surroundings. Hike downhill to Kande. At Kande, your driver will be waiting for you and will drive you back to Pokhara.
Pokhara to Kathmandu (Driving Duration: 7-8 hours)
Thamel - You’ll have breakfast at the hotel in Pokhara. After breakfast, you’ll be driven back to Kathmandu. In the late afternoon, you’ll reach Kathmandu, where you’ll be directed to your hotel for the night.
Departure Day
TIA - Approximately 3 hours before your flight’s departure, you’ll be transferred to Kathmandu International Airport, where you’ll be guided to the check-in hall. We hope you had an amazing journey through Nepal and look forward to welcoming you back.
