Arrival in Kathmandu (1350 m)

Arrival in Kathmandu (1350 m)
Kathmandu - Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, the Nepal Adventure Team staff and guides will greet you and escort you to your hotel in the bustling tourist area of Thamel. After a refreshing break, the guide or leader will provide an orientation about the hotels, Nepali culture, tours, and the Poon Hill Trekking, followed by a welcome dinner at a traditional Nepalese restaurant, complete with a folk cultural program.
Drive to Pokhara (860 m) 220 km - 7/8 hours
Pokhara - The guide will collect you and take you to the bus station for a scenic drive to Pokhara on a deluxe tourist bus, traveling alongside the Trisuli River and through hilly terrain. You will have free time in Pokhara in the evening, where you can visit Phewa Lake and the lakeside street for dinner. Overnight stay at a hotel.
Drive to Nayapul (1,100 m) and begin trek to Hile (1,450 m) - 04 hours
Pokhara - After enjoying the renowned tourist destination of Pokhara, the journey continues with a drive to Nayapul through mid-hill towns and villages. From Nayapul, the trek begins with a gentle walk through Birethanti, encountering fellow trekkers and mule and donkey caravans. This path is part of the ancient Trans-Himalayan Salt Trade Route to Tibet. The night will be spent in a comfortable lodge at Hile.
Trek to Ghorepani (2,840 m) - 05 hours
Ghorepani - The early trek leads to Tikhedhuga, followed by a steep two-hour climb on stone steps to Ulleri village. The trail offers stunning views of the surrounding landscapes and the snow-capped peaks of Annapurna South and Mt. Machapuchare. The challenging uphill climb becomes more enjoyable on the winding path through a cool forest of alpine trees, including oaks, pines, and rhododendrons, leading to Ghorepani-Deurali village. Ghorepani is situated on a high ridge extending to Upper Mustang and Tibet. The area is inhabited by the Pun Magar people and is famous for the hike to Poon Hill, a viewpoint offering panoramic views of the world’s three highest peaks and other mountains, with breathtaking sunrises and sunsets.
Morning hike to Poon Hill (3,210 m) for sunrise, walk to Tadapani (2,520 m) 6 hours
Poon Hill Marga - The hike begins before dawn to capture the golden sunrise from Poon Hill at 3210m, enhancing the beauty of the mountains. The mountain range from Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Manaslu, and the Annapurna ranges to Ganesh Himal in the far eastern horizon, including the stunning Mt. Machapuchare, elevates Poon Hill’s allure. After enjoying the breathtaking view, the journey continues to Tadapani. The walk passes through small places like Deurali and Banthati, with a short climb leading to Tadapani. Tadapani is nestled in enchanting forests with spectacular views of Annapurna and Machapuchare.
Trek to Ghandruk (1,951m) - 04 hours
Ghandruk - Today features a short trek to Ghandruk village, with leisure time to explore if desired. The trail is lined with lush forests providing a refreshing breeze during the warm walk. The mountains are always ready to welcome visitors. In Ghandruk, you can explore the Gurung village and its culture, one of the largest villages in the Annapurna region. Visitors can also try on traditional cultural attire. The men of Ghandruk have a long tradition of serving as some of the finest soldiers in the Gorkha Regiment for both the British and Indian armies.
Trek to Pothana (1,900 m) - 05 hours
Nepal - The trek begins with a downhill walk for an hour to the Modi River. After crossing the bridge, the path ascends to Landruk village. A short break in this charming village is followed by a long winding trail through terraced farm fields and an uphill walk for 40 minutes to Deurali ridge at 2,150 m. Deurali offers magnificent views of Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Manaslu, and the Fish Tail peak. The small village of Pothana is the destination for the night.
Trek to Kande and drive to Pokhara - 2 hours
Pokhara - With stunning mountain views as a backdrop, the trek continues through a cool forest to Thulo Kharka, also known as Australian Camp. This beautiful spot in the forest features large meadows with breathtaking views of the Himalayan mountain range. After a brief rest, the descent to Kande village on the Baglung-Pokhara highway begins. A one-hour drive from Kande brings you back to Pokhara.
Drive back to Kathmandu - 06 hours
Kathmandu - Early in the morning, the journey back to Kathmandu follows the same route. The rest of the day is free for relaxation and exploring the market. The guide can assist with further exploration. A farewell dinner is served at a cultural restaurant, with a flight option available.
