Best Experience in Thailand - What a wonderful experience I had a Phuket Thai Cooking Academy. The staff was great! Beyond knowledgeable Answered all my questions and walked me step by step thru each dish. I took the whole day class. The walk around the market was so much fun! The waterfall was also nice. I’m back home now and I’ve been cooking what I learned. I’m very popular with my friends and family now.

Delicious outing, but a little rushed at the end. - This was probably one of the highlights of my time in Thailand. King was so much fun to learn from, and she provided so much knowledge that only adds more to the class. My only gripe is that I felt kinda rushed in eating everything to head back to my hotel. I recognize that they offered to package everything which is definitely appreciated, but sometimes the hotels don't have a fridge and/or microwave.

Outstanding experience - We chose the full day experience, and thoroughly enjoyed the day. We ended up having a personal experience in the morning with only the two of us in the class, and the afternoon had one other person join, the benefits of being just before the Christmas rush!! The market tour was very informative, and now we hope to find those ingredients back in Canada (good luck to us). and the class excellent, with the two of us making 19 dishes in total. the only drawback is the dishes could be a little smaller, as we ended up with too much food to take with us. The waterfalls were a bit disappointing due to the season, lack of rain and low water flow. overall a great experience, and if we return to Phuket, I would consider one of there 5 day classes.

Don't need whole day! - I absolutely loved this cookery class! Day started with a trip round the market where we were shown the many local fruits and veg and herbs and spices that go into Thai food and got to taste local delicacies before heading off to the cookery school. We all got to select 5 dishes to cook from a wide selection of Thai food. But then I was asked to select a further five for the afternoon session!! Every other person there had opted for a half day and although I LOVE Thai food with all the will in the world I am not able to EAT 10 meals!!! We set to with guided instruction from the superb instructors and turned out dish after dish of amazing authentic Thai food. Then as a group we then sat and ate it. Heaven! This was a good 4 hours start to finish and that was just about enough time there. I had booked a full day cookery class but decided that I wanted to leave when we' d finished lunch. To do a whole day would mean joining the afternoon class: other clever people who had also opted for half a day, unlike me. The waterfall trip also didn't materialise as that would have meant waiting around for the PM group to finish so all in all a waste of my money BUT the half day was perfect! The instructor said that she would email ALL of the recipes to us which I haven't checked yet. I highly recommend this experience: I'm now a Goddess of Thai cooking (Ok maybe not that good but enough to cook a full-on meal with desert to impress back home in Blighty!!) and I now have a certificate from the cookery school too!! Happy days!!

Culinary Delights!!! - A full day cooking authentic Thai cuisine!! Professionally run, extremely well organised but entertaining and fun. Our teachers and market guide were amazing, had fabulous English and made everyone feels welcome. The market tour was informative and interesting. The food at the Academy was of excellent quality (Especially the food i prepared...of course) fresh and tasty. The full day class has you cooking 10 different dishes. We were provided with a certificate and all of the recipes at the end of the class. I bought a knife and wooden spoon from the academy and had no problem bringing them back to Australia in my checked baggage. Thank you once again to the Team at the "Phuket Thai Cooking Academy" for a fabulously yummy day!!!

Amazing Experience - This has been one of the most amazing experiene I have had in Phuket. I personally was extremely skeptical about attending a cooking class because I wasn't sure how it was going to go, but I decided to give it a shot anyway. The van picked me up at my hotel and drove me and the others to a local market. The teachers met us there and showed us around, showing us different ingredients and allowing us to try some traditional Thai desserts - YUM! After, we went to the school. The entire time, the cooking teachers were very helpful, informative, and friendly. They have been extremely patient with me since it was my first time and guided me through each and every step! The outcome was amazing. The food was to die for and the best part was, they even packed the leftovers to take home with us! I have to say, I really enjoyed this tour and will do another similar cooking tour in the future!

Such a great experience - We have been to Thailand twice before and been on all the tours. 2 adults and 2 children (15yr old twins) , thought it would be great to do a full day cooking course and take a little Thailand home. Complimentary pick up, on time, from our hotel straight to the market where the guide explained all the different types of fruit and vegetables commonly found in Thai cooking. After the tour we were taken up the mountain to the school. Beautiful views from the facility. King explained what we would do during the day. We had selected 5 meals to cook for the morning including dishes like Spring Rolls, Chicken Satay, Tom Young Goong, Larb Gai, Chicken Massaman Curry, Yellow chicken curry, chicken and cashew nut, black pepper beef, deep fried bananas, and mango with sticky rice. The time flew making these generously portioned meals. Sat down to a feast at the end of the morning - absolutely delicious. Offered the choice of the Waterfall tour to be dropped at a local day spa , chose the Waterfall but would have preferred the Spa. Went all the way up thousands of stairs to see a tiny waterfall, in our opinion not worth it. Afternoon session was much the same as the morning with different dishes and the option of taking back to our hotel, in containers, anything we could not eat. Such a great day, have all the ingredients at home to start cooking the meals here from the recipes the academy has allowed us access to.

My daughter and I did the full day... -
My daughter and I did the full day class, after a visit to the local market to learn how to get the best ingredients, we arrived at the academy and all the staff were very friendly and helpful, Sai was our teacher for the day and we both quickly learnt that less is more in relation to ingredients and spices, the academy is a balcony style kitchen and is very clean and well equipped, with a open beer/wine/soft drink fridge on the honour system paid for at the end of the class, it was great to have a cold beer while cooking on the balcony enjoying the breeze, we prepared all the ingredients for 4 seperate dishes of our choosing, then cooked and enjoyed the fruits of our labour, the second half of the day was very similar after a visit to a local waterfall that is quite overrated with a million stairs or so it seemed. Overall it was a good day and a great learning experience with very friendly and knowledgeable instructors, Cheers.
