Galle

Galle Dutch Fort - Originally constructed in 1588 by the Portuguese, it was significantly fortified by the Dutch in the 17th century from 1649 onwards. This site is a historical, archaeological, and architectural heritage monument, which, even after more than 423 years, retains a refined appearance due to extensive restoration by the Archaeological Department of Sri Lanka.

Galle - Unawatuna

Galle - Tangalle

Mulgirigala Raja Maha Viharaya - This is an ancient Buddhist temple located in Mulkirigala, Sri Lanka, built on a 205 m (673 ft) high natural rock.

Climb the approximately 500 steps to discover a series of seven cleft-like caves on five different terraced levels. Inside the caves are several large reclining Buddha statues, along with smaller sitting and standing figures.
