The park is home to a rich variety of wildlife, such as Sri Lankan Leopards, Sri Lankan Elephants, various primates, crocodiles, other reptiles, and over 200 bird species. Unawatuna Beach - After enjoying breakfast at the Wilpattu camp, you will travel south to Mirissa, a charming town nestled between the southern cities of Galle and Matara. Mirissa is the departure point for the next day’s whale-watching boat ride. Upon arrival in the afternoon, you can unwind on the beautiful beaches in the area, either in Mirissa or Unawatuna, which is renowned as one of the country’s finest beaches. Relax and soak in the ambiance, and consider retiring early for the night to prepare for an early start the next day.

Udawalawe National Park - In Sri Lanka, it’s said, “One can never tire of watching elephants.” From the comfort of a 4WD Safari Jeep, you’ll understand the truth of this saying. Get up close to elephant herds near the reservoir, observing them drinking, bathing, or cooling off in the mud. The playful baby elephants are particularly captivating as they explore their trunks and interact with other young ones. Elephant herds consist of a matriarch, several adult females, and juvenile or baby elephants of both sexes. Male elephants typically lead solitary lives, interacting with females only for mating.
