This city became the capital of the Anuradhapura Kingdom in the 4th Century BC and remained so for 15 centuries, serving as a significant political and trade hub in South Asia during that time. Overnight stay in Anuradhapura.

The Ruwanwelisaya stupa is revered by Buddhists, while Thuparamaya, which enshrines the Buddha’s collarbone, is considered the first dagaba in Sri Lanka. Lovamahapaya, also known as the Brazen Palace, is situated between Ruwanvaliseya and Sri Maha Bodhiya. Jetavanarama is the largest stupa in Sri Lanka. Today, Polonnaruwa showcases remarkable ancient Sri Lankan architecture from the 12th Century AD, featuring numerous Buddhist monasteries and monuments built by King Parakramabahu I.

Next, visit Little Adams Peak, which stands at 1141m and is relatively easy to climb with a well-maintained path. The excursion takes about 2-3 hours, including time for photos. Afterward, enjoy lunch in Ella town, which is highly recommended. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

After visiting the Dutch fort, drive to Bentota, a resort town on Sri Lanka’s southwest coast. Bentota Beach stretches north, becoming a sandy strip known as Paradise Island, parallel to Bentota Lagoon.
After checking into the hotel, visit the Turtle Conservation and Hatchery site, followed by a boat ride on the Madu River, where you can experience a fish massage in a small river. Overnight stay in Bentota.
