Tour is Amazing. - Viator update your site!! - This trip will not disappoint! Our guide was Levi, he was AMAZING, and made the tour even more memorable! He was a wealth of knowledge on the Hawaiian history and culture. He brought his ukulele and sang us songs the whole time we hiked to the falls. Every moment was a new beautiful view - weather it was on the river or on the trail. We will totally do this tour again when we visit Kauai again. FYI- Expect to get Wet and Muddy! It's Hawaii on the river and in the forest! I'm seeing so many reviews of people complaining about mud and rain on any hiking or ocean tour. This is a Small ISLAND that is mostly FOREST!! You are missing out on the beauty and richness of this place if that's all you're focusing on! HOWEVER - VIATOR- you need to update your site. They do NOT provide lunch- and was told by our tour guide that they have been asking your website to update that fact, and you have failed. So 3 stars for Viator booking site. They will give you 2 bottles of water, 2 snacks, and a little cooler for the lunch YOU BRING. Other than that- AMAZING. DO IT!

A truly Hawaiian adventure on the Wailua River - We had an excellent (and vigorous) experience with Levi on the Wailua River kayak and (not so) Secret Falls hike. Levi made it feel like a real Hawaiian adventure with his stories and ukelele serenades. Great fun!

Nathan was a wonderful... - Nathan was a wonderful guide. The kayaking and hike was moderate and does require some baseline fitness level. Would not do if any knee or hip or shoulder injury. Have to kayak 4 miles and the hike is rocky muddy and have to cross a river but the water fall is gorgeous and worth it

Amazing waterfall at the end!! - Loved this tour and hike!! The secret really is the water falls at the very need! Absolutely stunning and a surprise!! Bring your own lunch on this tour to eat at the falls if you want. Nathan was our guide and was great! He had a lot of knowledge of the area plants and birds. The kayak is straight and a little long but totally doable with 2 people. There was mud on the trail but alls doable! Worth it at the end!!

A highlight of our trip - Spectacular Trip! The kayaking part was fun with great views. Absolutely loved the adventurous hike through river crossings, trails, and boardwalks. The waterfall itself is magnificent and its pool was so soothing to dip into after a hike. Our guide Nathan was super knowledgeable, giving us the lay of the land every step of the way. 10/10 Would do again. Make sure to bring shoes you're okay getting with getting completely submerged!

Great views, Felt Aches and Pains and Enjoyments - The views were great, the aches and pains felt the next day from paddling the kayak and hiking, and some enjoyments during the hike and seeing the waterfall! The hike was more treacherous due to slippery and very muddy conditions. The guide was knowledgeable and professional and funny some time. There wasn't much time to soak in the views during the hike as we had to watch our steps constantly! However, the whole tour went smoothly.

A True Adventure, Lots of Mud - First, our guide was really great! He was personable and told us a lot of interesting facts about the area. This is an adventure worth having if you know what you’re getting into. What is not advertised is that the hike is not pleasant. You have to cross a swiftly moving knee-deep river, slog through ankle deep mud, and crawl over rocks. You’ll be lucky if you don’t twist your knee or sprain your ankle. Like most tourist areas, the trail is overused. Secret falls is lovely, but not so secret. You’ll have to put up people mugging it up for Instagram likes here. The kayaking portion was fun, if you don’t have a headwind. It can be physically challenging if your upper body is not strong. You need to be prepared for unexpected showers (typical in Hawaii.) The guides are good about watching for flash flooding. I loved seeing this part of the island, but having wet, muddy feet for 6 hours was a bit too much for me. My husband loved the adventure, so if you’re prepared for some discomfort it might be great for you.
