• Coconut Marketplace - The day will commence at the Coconut Marketplace, marking the beginning of the tour. Before embarking on the adventure, guests can enjoy breakfast and coffee at the Island Country Market. The mall offers restrooms and complimentary parking.
• Wailua River State Park - The first stop on the tour is in Wailua town. Historically, the Great and Sacred Wailua served as the island’s primary religious and political hub. The Ali’i, or royalty, resided here, and numerous heiaus (temples of worship) were constructed in this area. Visitors will explore Poliahu Heiau, Opaekaa Falls, and the Wailua River lookout, the largest navigable river in the state, from two different vantage points. As guests take in the stunning scenery at each stop, the guide will share captivating stories of ancient times and the island’s evolution in modern times.
• Lydgate State Park - Guests can enjoy a leisurely walk along the path at the picturesque Lydgate Beach Park. They can dip their feet in the renowned Morgan Ponds and learn about the ancient temple of worship where Hawaiians greeted the rising sun daily, the city of refuge, and more. This walk is suitable for all ages and offers numerous photo opportunities.
• Wailua Falls - Waterfalls are a must-see on any vacation. From Wailua town, the tour will proceed to Lihue town to visit the stunning and famous Wailua Falls, featured in the TV show “Fantasy Island.” Guests will have ample time to admire the falls, take photos, and explore local vendors.
• Spouting Horn - En route to the Spouting Horn, the tour will pass through the renowned Tree Tunnel. Guests will be amazed by the natural power of this ancient lava tube, which became a water blowhole due to ocean wave erosion. The Hawaiian legend associated with this site, complete with sound effects, will be shared.
• Old Koloa Town - Lunch will be enjoyed in the historic town of Koloa, offering a variety of dining options, from restaurants to food trucks. Guests are free to choose their meal. Approximately 1.5 hours will be spent here, allowing plenty of time to eat, explore this charming plantation town, and shop for locally made souvenirs (optional).
• Menehune Fish Pond - The tour will visit the lookout of one of Kauai’s oldest archaeological sites, located in a stunning wildlife reserve in Lihue town. While enjoying the beautiful scenery, guests will learn about the ongoing restoration project, the legend of the “Menehunes,” the little people of Hawai’i who built the pond, and the many Hollywood movies filmed in this area.

• Private tours include pick up and drop off near the cruise ship, at the airport, and some hotels. Let us know where you will be staying.
• If you weight 280 lbs + you need to contact us to let us know so we can better accommodate you. If the tour is fill you will need to provide an additional fee that will secure you an extra seat.
• No cancellations pass the 48 hours prior to that start of the tour.
• Wear comfortable clothes. Sandals and flip flops are great for this tour. I recommend wearing a cap/hat, and sunglasses.
