Made it through as a beginner kayaker - Our guide Zack was great. The tandem kayaking was pretty tough for beginners especially on the way back because of the going against the wind. The hiking felt pretty short and easy only with a few spots were it's a bit slippery and rocky. Good times.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Secret Falls with Hawaiian Brian — Adventure, Freedom, and Mud in All the Right Places - If you want a kayak tour where you’re not forced to paddle in a slow‑moving conga line, book this one with Hawaiian Brian. The man took one look at us and basically said, “You two seem fine go enjoy yourselves.” And off we went, cruising up the Wailua River like we were in our own nature documentary. The real magic happened on the hike. That’s where Brian unleashed a steady stream of island stories, legends, and local lore the kind of stuff that makes you feel like you’re walking through a living history book, but with way more mud and way fewer rules. The trail itself is a fun mix of jungle, roots, and “I hope these shoes survive,” and then you turn a corner and Secret Falls hits you with full cinematic glory. Absolutely worth the hike. It’s the kind of waterfall that makes you want to shout, “We found it!” even though about 200 people find it every day. Brian kept the vibe relaxed, funny, and just adventurous enough. If you want a guide who gives you freedom on the river and stories on the trail, he’s your guy. Highly recommend — and bring shoes you’re emotionally prepared to say goodbye to.

BOOK IT!! - Our guide Hawaiian Brian was the best! He has the most amazing spirit and was extremely knowledgeable having lived on Kauai his whole life. He kept us enter the entirety of the trip, and we felt very safe in his company. We had an incredible time kayaking and hiking to the falls and learned so much about the beautiful island. The river is very calm and flat. The hike involves muddy areas, climbing over rocks, wading across the river a couple of times- which makes it all part of the adventure. That being said I wouldn’t recommend if you have any injuries or disabilities. Things I recommend bringing: wear a bathing suit with shorts or pants overtop, bug spray, SPF, light jacket (gets chilly kayaking back toward evening), wear sturdy water shoes, water, snacks. Be prepared to get wet and muddy. This adventure was the highlight of our trip! Mahalo Hawaiian Brian!!

COCO KAUAI - CoCo Kauai is a wonderful tour guide. She is highly reliable as well as knowledgeable. We did a van tour with 9 and it fun as well as very informative. As we visited various places it is obvious CoCo is well respected. We were expecting bad weather and she stayed in contact with us regarding plans. We HIGHLY recommend her.

Brian, the King of Guides! - Wow, Brian was not only a fun and informative guy to hang around, he truly cared about navigating our journey safely. In fact, there were some older folks who were crossing the river and having a difficult time. While they were not with our group, Brian stepped in to help them and suggested shortening their adventure since it would not be safe to proceed on their own. BOY WAS HE RIGHT! Both my wife and I, who are in our 60's, leaned on Brian to help us cross that river so that we could get to the beautiful falls. Brian even took pictures of us in the falls, one of which I had matted and framed. It was an experience on Kauai that we'll never forget and we truly owe it all to Brian. Mahalo!
