Outstanding performance, good food, no local food - Reception and check-in were wonderful. It was raining and they were ready. Drinks were ready and plentiful. Silver tier and had a great view and were close to bathrooms. Train rides, craft show and music initially. Show started at 6:15 and we ate during part of it. We expected some authentic food. No poi. Seemed catered. Good though. My partner loved the desserts. Food was good but we would have welcomed a table of local food to try. Maybe some of those donuts too. 😉🌺

Great food and best entertainment! - We're so happy that this luau was under a covered area, which was one of the reasons why we booked it, because it rained in almost record amounts while we were in Kauai. This luau had it all! Great food, drinks, and great entertainment. I'm going to emphasize the quality of the food because luau buffets are hit or missed, but this one was one of the best! The show was also one of the best!

Fun Family Luau - Great experience….performance was wonderful! It was in a covered pavilion so when it rained we stayed dry. Grounds were beautiful…optional train ride was a bit pricy for what it was…in my opinion.

A wonderful magical evening - Lu'au Kalamaku was wonderful Hawaiian experience. One of the reasons I chose Lu'au Kalamaku is that it is held under a huge canopy. When booking what may be my only Lu'au opportunity in a lifetime, I did not want risk having a event spoiled by rainy weather, particularly in the rainy season. After we were ushered to our table, we meandered around the grounds for a short while. We watched the hula demonstration. We then went back to our seats to await the sound of the conch shell, signaling the start of an authentic Imu Ceremony. We enjoyed the dinner buffet, then we were given instructions about the main show which was going to begin shortly. I will use the program's words to describe it. "A spectacular extravaganza with graceful hula dancers, fire poi ball twirlers, traditional fire knife dancing and more!" It told the story of a people's journey across the seas to what is know their home in what's called Hawaii. The dancing and music was beautiful. I would definitely recommend experience this to anyone.

We had a wonderful... - We had a wonderful experience. Kids enjoyed feeding the animals on the train tour. Food was very good for a buffet. The show and the cast were amazing. Great visuals and great singing.

We had an amazing time.... - We had an amazing time. The photo gallery and shops that had local crafts and goods was nice. The train ride to explore the plantation and see the animal's was fun. The dinner and drink service was delicious. The show...whew the show was powerful and beautifully done. The staff's professionalism and warm vibe made the whole experience one to remember. Thank you very much for making part of out trip fantastic.

Review - Amazing show. Felt like a full broadway production. The fire dancers were very talented. The food was buffet style and pretty average - not bad but also not noteworthy.

Bad sight lines - Make sure you confirm your seating at time of booking!! We booked 3 days prior & got stuck in very last row and had to stand for the entire 60+ minute show because of tables in front of us obstructing our view. Even standing we were blocked when others raised their cameras to shoot over those in front of them. Stage is not high enough for all to stay seated & view show. At 77 yrs old I did not appreciate the strain on my feet. Others at the table tried to find better sight lines or left early. Tried to get manager but was told not available and we couldn't relocate our seats. Missed majority of show and had drums overhead that drowned out the narration and music. Contacted owners and offered a token 10% adjustment when 50% of the promised product was ruined. Would not recommend unless knew where seating was. Can't comment on performance since we missed a majority of it.
