Great tour! - The Princeville Botanical Gardens Tour was fun - even though we had to brave the rain! So many beautiful plants, flowers and trees to see and learn about. Our guide was very knowledgeable and made the time fun! Chocolates were great - especially the one made with their own cacao beans. Don't forget your bug spray.

Exceeded our expectations! - We were very lucky to catch good weather for this tour. Very friendly staff greeted us right at the front gate. The garden is beautiful, even stunning in places. I teased my wife that this must be what the Garden of Eden looked like. Our guide, Heidi, was a 14 year veteran and so very passionate and knowledgeable. Mini- tasting stops throughout the tour were very fun and the chocolate tasting part was very interesting. The only downside was the length of the tour was 3 hours, and with the heat and humidity, it was a wee bit too much for my wife. They ended the tour in a fun way: each party got their own fresh coconut to sip juice from. Highly recommend!

Fun, yummy and gorgeous! - The coordinator waited for us! We got stuck in construction. The guide was so well versed and presented how these plants were once used for practically EVERYTHING and are so important to our human survival! The beauty was unreal! Great job farmers! The hike was pretty easy. The tastings were fun and much appreciated!

Beautiful garden and great guide - Gardens were so beautiful and our guide, Troy, was so knowledgeable funny and helpful. It was a delight to be with him. Learned a lot about the garden the owners and area. The walk had lots of different terrain, some steps and hills. Our walking sticks were helpful since we're not "young chickens". Enjoyed both fruit and chocolate tastings. Although it was predicting rain, we had none.

A beautiful tropical garden and our guide, Lauren was very informative and helpful. Loved the bridges and waterfalls. - Beautifully landscaped but is NOT wheelchair friendly. That being said, the paths are well maintained. There are many terraces, elevation changes, and garden can be muddy in places when raining. The garden is located on the northern region of Kauai where rainfall is plentiful. Be prepared with raingear and good walking or hiking shoes. The chocolate tasting was intriguing and delicious comparing chocolate from around the world. A short explanation of the farmer's part of the chocolate making process from the planting of the cacao trees, the harvesting of the seed pods, the processing of the seeds before sending the nibs to the chocolatier who produces the finished product was given. The tour was a relaxing and informative way to spend a leisurely 3 hours in a peaceful and beautiful setting. If you enjoy learning about plants from around the world you'll love this tour.
