Beautiful Views and Knowledgeable Guides - This experience was so much fun! My husband and I brought our 3 young adult children (17/19/22) and we all enjoyed it! A few things to note: 1. You do wade through streams so wear water shoes 2. There is a 2 person limit per kayak (no single riders) so I ended up riding with Cory, our guide which was probably the best seat in the house. 3. There are a lot of rocks on the hike. I would highly recommend this adventure! It's a workout for sure and a little crowded at the waterfall but it was beautiful. Our guide, Cory, was knowledgeable and patient.

Be prepared for some in... - Be prepared for some in even pathways and very slippery rocks to navigate . The kayaking is fun but it can be frustrating if the wind kicks up.

Great for active adults and teens - Fun excursion. Our tour guide, Cole, was back after a 3 year hiatus and kept the teens in our group entertained. Kayak was fun. Hike was not strenuous but a bit hazardous with slick rocks and roots. Definitely wear shoes with some griping power. All around fun time for 4 adults and 2 teens.

Exercise + sight seeing - Perfect activity for those that want to see the beauty of Kauai but still want to be active. Your shoulders might be sore after the 2 mile paddle, but it is worth it. The falls are amazing! The hike there and back was pretty easy. Our guide Sam was great. Was very patient and funny with the group and made sure to stop and let us know about the different plants and history along the way. Definitely recommend this one!

A great experience but be careful if this is your first time. - My wife and I had a lot of fun on this tour. The river, the hike, and the waterfall made the experience worth everything. The equipment was very secure. We felt safe the entire time. With that said, I would encourage those who are looking to book their first kayaking experience to reach out to the organization to ensure they are aware or find another organization who caters to first timers like us. I had only been on one other river rafting experience, which started with instruction on how to use the equipment and maneuver, followed by a few drills to ensure everyone knew what they were doing. I was a bit naive in expecting that this would be similar. I may have missed it in the overview or the waiver (I did read that participants should be expected to engage in high physical activity), but this appeared to be better suited for experienced individuals. There was no pre-assessment of our previous experience kayaking and no instructions. Most of the others in our group were clearly experienced and were off as soon as we got in the water. The guide was immediately attentive when he saw we were falling behind. He gave some helpful instruction, but only after we asked. I would say that for people who are well experienced with kayaking, this tour would be ideal. However, if you are very experienced, it might be unnecessary - you might be better off just renting the equipment and going yourself. The path is clear and there are a lot of people along the way. So, it's easy to figure out where you need to go.

We had an amazing guide... - We had an amazing guide however our kayak had a hole in it and we didn’t know until the end when our kayak took on water and was extremely difficult to paddle. We made it back but we are so sore today. Our guide said it was like having to extra people on board because of all the water. Thankfully, we made it back safe. Make sure to check your kayak.

The tour guide was... - The tour guide was waiting for me and my son to catch up with everyone and clearly everyone was very fast and we were slow so on the way back I was separated with my son and he paired me with another woman and my son with another woman. I would rather just go slower and enjoy the view. If you’d like to go fast with the rest of the group, this is a great tour otherwise it is not.
