Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - After enjoying a delicious breakfast and receiving a briefing at the park’s headquarters, guests will begin their gorilla trekking adventure. They will navigate through the dense forest and challenging trails of the park, where they will encounter the gentle mountain gorillas. These magnificent creatures share up to 98% of their DNA with humans. Visitors will have a one-hour face-to-face encounter, observing these gentle apes as they relax, feed on forest fruits, leaves, and stems, and watch the young ones play and swing through the forest branches. There will be an opportunity to capture photos with the gorillas. Afterward, guests will trek back to the starting point and return to the lodge for another overnight stay.

On the trekking day, rise as early as 6:30 am for breakfast, followed by a briefing until 8:00 am. Begin the trek with easy forest hikes along designated trails, which may become challenging based on the weather and the gorillas’ movements. However, the exhilarating one-hour encounter with a habituated gorilla family is truly invigorating.
Afterward, return to the starting point with fellow trekkers, meet the guide, or enjoy a quick picnic lunch. In the evening, consider a short visit to the Batwa community to appreciate their stories, ancient culture, and dances.
