Charyn Canyon, Moon Canyon & Saty Village

Charyn Canyon - The adventure starts with a morning pick-up (07:30-08:00 am) from your accommodation in Almaty, followed by a picturesque drive (2-3 hours) to Charyn Canyon. Upon arrival, explore the canyon on foot, walking (2-3 hours) through the renowned Valley of Castles. This area is celebrated for its unique rock formations sculpted over millions of years. There will be time to enjoy panoramic viewpoints, capture photos, and explore the surroundings.

Afterward, proceed to Kurtogay Moon Canyon, where the landscape transforms dramatically. The soft, layered hills create a distinctive moon-like scenery, offering a completely different visual experience. The next stop is Black Canyon, where you will enjoy a brief stop at a viewpoint overlooking the deep river gorge — an ideal spot for photos and a quick rest.

In the evening, arrive in Saty village, check in at a guest house, and savor a traditional dinner.

Alpine Lakes – Kaindy & Kolsay

Lake Kaindy - After breakfast at the guest house, check out and start the day with a drive to Lake Kaindy, one of the most unique natural sites in the region. Surrounded by forested mountains, the lake is renowned for its submerged trees rising above the turquoise water, creating a truly unusual and photogenic landscape. There will be time to walk around the lake, enjoy the views, and take photos.

Next, continue to Kolsai Lakes, often referred to as the “Pearls of the Tien Shan.” Here, relax by the water, take a walk along the shoreline, and enjoy the tranquil mountain scenery. After the visit, return to the guest house for lunch. In the afternoon, begin the drive back to Almaty, arriving in the evening with drop-off at your accommodation.
