Great way to spend half a day in Langkawi - First class birdwatching tour, thank you Jien for your expert knowledge and for your patience as we were beginners! We learned so much! A great way to spend a half day, seeing Langkawi from a completely different point of view.

An experience at the top! - An experience at the top! Jien and Rama were great and we were able to observe thanks to their valuable help the 3 species of Calao including the bicorn Calao difficult to observe in its natural environment! Friendly team, provision of binoculars and detailed explanations, I recommend!

Excellent Birdwatching Tour - We had a great morning birdwatching in 3 different locations and saw over 40 birds. The hi-light was seeing Great Hornbills in the Mountains. Jien was a very knowledgeable bird guide and gave us lots of information about the birds we saw. As well as driving us, Din was also helpful in spotting the birds. We would definitely recommend this trip, for anyone interested in birds. Thank you Jien and Din.

Fantastic morning birdwatching with Masyi and driver - Masyi and driver picked us up bang on time. A great morning, started off down by the water front seeing kingfishers and smaller birds. Then up to the mountains to see all types of hornbill and even a mountain hawk eagle. They both spotted birds all the way along that we wouldn’t have seen and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. Good company and very friendly, would highly recommend this tour and using the company for their other tours.

A great activity to discover the local wildlife! - We loved this afternoon bird watching activity. Our guide Jien, and our driver Din, were keen connoisseurs and enthusiasts, they shared with us a lot of information about local and migratory birds. We were able to observe, in 3 different places, nearly forty species, including the 3 types of calaos. We highly recommend them!

Jien and Din first class - We were collected from our hotel on time with good communication. Jien explained what we would be doing and his background and expertise. We spotted in three different locations and were given binoculars. He immediately found sightings for us and explained what they were and some information about the birds. We are not experts at all so this was very helpful. He speaks excellent English too. We saw some amazing birds including three hornbill varieties and three very different settings. In total more than three hours and saw 40 species. I would totally recommend this tour if you are even vaguely interested in birds or wildlife.

4 hours well spent - This was such a brilliant way to spend a morning . We started our tour at à fishing village where we spotted à total of 23 birds including ornate sunbirds and collared kingfishers. Up the mountain to see several great hornbills wreathed hornbills and an emerald dove amongst others. On the way we saw a lapwing with her chicks. We ended our trip at wetlands where we saw black-winged stilt, egrets herons and finished with a blue tailed bee--eater. 4 hours well spent in the company of Jien my guide who was very patient and knowledgeable, spotting birds I would never have found on my own. If the bird was too far away to see clearly he would take a photo to show me or look it up on his phone. Also a short out to Din who is much more than a driver and an excellent bird spotter too. In total we saw 31 différent types of birds. I would highly recommend this trip because as well as the birds you also see à bit more of what this special island is about. Because there wasn't a trip to join I was on my own so paid for 2 people - totally worth it.

A most memorable experience! - Jien is the most wonderful guide with an incredible depth of understanding of the natural world. I learnt so much from him about the local wildlife and he is so naturally warm and friendly, that both myself and the two couples also on the trip could not but feel right at ease as we enjoyed our fun! The bird watching tour was extremely relaxed and comfortable, being mainly spent on padded benches on the open back of a 4 wheel drive truck, with water and high quality binoculars provided. We went along nice and slowly with frequent stops at sightings. It was really incredible to see quite a few great hornbills along with some other birds (and monkeys) too. At the end of the tour we did a short twilight walk with provided torches to look for any friendly nightlife. Seeing the huge tokai geckoes was a particular favourite for me. The following day I also went on one of their boat tours around Kilim Geoforest Park, with the so lovely guide Azri, and experienced local boat captain who expertly navigated us through the mangroves. We clearly received a much more considered experience than that provided by the other boat/tour operators. Along with directing us through the local natural sights of wildlife and geology, Azri also helped to provide some invaluable context on Langkawi as a whole. The boat trip was very enjoyable in its own right while getting to see a pair of smooth coated otters up close was a particular highlight for me. I am very grateful to Sri at JungleWalla, and both of her wonderful guides, for arranging what was a truly magical and once in a lifetime experience for me. I would unequivocally recommend them as by far the best and most ethical organisation of this kind that I have ever come across ♥

Bird Watching Delight - If you like bird watching, this is the tour for you. Jien, my guide, was absolutely fantastic and helped me spot over 36 different types of bird over 4 hours in three different locations. First we visited wet lands and then rice paddy fields then finished up in the Mountains looking for hornbills. We also managed to spot large squirrels, several sorts of monkeys and as few butterflies. Jien’s knowledge was superb, obviously a bird love! I highly recommend this tour and Jien. Unfortunately I don’t have any photos to share as they’re all in my camera but I can’t wait to download the picture I took of 4 hornbills flying above with the crescent moon overhead.
