Enjoyable for all ages! - Took this tour with my family of 5, including 10 year old boy, 16 and 19 year old girls. There was something for everyone. It was a beautiful morning and we enjoyed learning about the history of the town and buildings. The highlight of the trip for the younger members of our group was when Cynthia took us inside one of the historical homes that has been turned into an Inn and purchased Needham candies for our group. The kids loved it and said they definitely "needed them"! Thank you Cynthia for kicking off our family trip through Maine with such a warm welcome!

Charming walk, lovely guide, memorable history - We loved this tour with Julie! Kennebunkport is charming and Julie took us by many beautiful homes and told the history in a very entertaining way. We entered two or three sea captain's homes which were made into inns and were able to climb the 49 stairs to a widow's walk in one!

Learning the history of shipowners and ship builders in Kennebunkport - Beth was a good guide, she certainly knows and loves the history of Kennebunkport. The tour was very focused on the homes of shipbuilders, ship owners, and their families. We thought that it might be a bit more broad in scope. It was interesting to go into the interior of two of the locations.

We don't understand why people rate this so high - We must have gotten the substitute guide on the day we took this, since we can't figure out how everyone gives this walk such high ratings. To begin with, there is just not that much to see in this historic district; basically a handful of pretty ordinary houses with linked stories about sea captains. The guide seemed to have basic knowledge of period architecture but not much else about why Kennebunkport should be more interesting than any other old town in Maine. The $50 cost of this activity was way in excess of what it offered. Save your money.
