Diani Beach – Tsavo East National Park
Tsavo National Park East - The Africa Kenya Safaris driver/guide will arrive early to start the safari adventure. Depart in a private 4 x 4 Land Cruiser Safari Jeep, taking the Likoni Ferry to Mombasa, followed by a drive on the highway to Tsavo East.
During the journey, enjoy the African sunrise, illuminating the landscapes and setting the stage for an exciting day.
Upon reaching Tsavo East National Park, explore the expansive rugged terrain and vast skies. Visit watering holes like Aruba Dam and the Kanderi marshes, where numerous wildlife congregate.
Observe the park’s distinctive red-oxide soil, where elephants often roll, giving them a reddish tint. In addition to elephants, look out for lions, leopards, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and the hundreds of bird species scattered throughout the park.
Next, take a short drive to the adjacent Tsavo West, where the green rolling hills provide a contrast to the morning’s desert-like game drives.
Tsavo West – Diani Beach
Tsavo National Park West - Experience another African sunrise with an early game drive. This serene time is perfect for observing wildlife as the sunlight graces the fields and hills, accompanied by the fresh, dewy scent of the park.
Return to the accommodation for breakfast, savoring the natural world’s sights and sounds.
Then, visit one of the park’s highlights – Mzima Springs. This lush area is nourished by millions of gallons of clear water. Leave the 4 x 4 to stroll along the shaded banks and observe the fish, birds, hippos, and crocodiles in this refreshing oasis.
Soon, it’s time to return to the coast. The driver/guide will direct the journey back to the highway, ensuring arrival at the resort by early evening.
Back at the beach resort, reflect on the past two days’ experiences – the wildlife and landscapes that have enriched the Kenya beach holiday. We hope the experience was delightful and appreciate your kind patronage. Asante!
