On these great plains, you’ll notice the distinctive rusty, red dust and the large herds of elephants that enjoy rolling in it, giving themselves a rosy hue.
Visits to the waterholes, where wildlife seeks refuge from the park’s dry environment, are also planned.
Noteworthy spots include Aruba Dam and Mudanda Rock, river-fed areas ideal for observing elephants.

Tsavo East - Tsavo West
Tsavo National Park West - Now on safari time, the birds and wildlife will likely wake you early. Begin the day with your first game drive, experiencing the park in the morning light.
A safari breakfast at your accommodation will follow, then further exploration in search of buffalo, eland, impala, elephant, and of course, lion.
Next, discover the sister park, Tsavo West. During the short drive, more wildlife tracking will occur.
Upon entering Tsavo West, you’ll notice the park’s greener landscape, highlighted by rolling hills and foliage.
A visit to the water-fed oasis of Mzima Springs is planned, a lush sanctuary home to hippo, crocodile, exotic fish, and a popular spot for the park’s other thirsty wildlife. You can even leave the Jeep to explore the palm-lined banks of the springs on foot. Look out for the diverse array of migrating birds that gather here.
Tsavo West - Nairobi
