This park, primarily consisting of a savannah ecosystem, is home to a diverse range of wildlife. It boasts over 100 bird species, including vultures, Verreaux’s Eagles, augur buzzards, and swifts. Common sightings include African buffalo, zebra, eland, hartebeest, Thomson’s gazelle, and baboons. The park also hosts the klipspringer antelope.

Lake Nakuru
Lake Nakuru - Start the day with an early morning pick-up and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. Located across the equator, south of Bogoria, this is the Rift Valley’s most renowned lake. Famous worldwide for its flamingos, the lake is alkaline and considered one of the natural wonders of the world. Lake Nakuru is now a rhino sanctuary, with over 40 black and more than 60 white rhinos, though the flamingos remain the main attraction. At times, nearly 2 million flamingos can be seen, creating a breathtaking deep pink band along the lake’s edge. Arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive.

Lake Nakuru/Maasai Mara
Maasai Mara National Reserve - Embark on an early morning drive to the Masai Mara National Reserve, one of the few places where wildlife still thrives in numbers reminiscent of Africa’s past. As the northern extension of the vast Serengeti ecosystem, the Mara is famous for the seasonal migration of thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and their predators. Arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive.

Maasai Mara
Mara Triangle - After breakfast, enjoy a full-day game drive with a packed lunch. The reserve is renowned for its black-maned lions and abundant resident wildlife, offering a chance to see the Big Five during a morning game drive. Many cheetahs are so accustomed to vehicles that they seek shade under them and even climb onto roofs for a better view of prey. Bird enthusiasts will be delighted with nearly 500 recorded species, including 16 eagle species, numerous hawks and falcons, 6 vulture species, 8 stork species, 4 bustard species (including the Kori bustard, the world’s heaviest flying bird), and 9 sunbird species.

Maasai Mara National Reserve - Begin the day with a sunrise game drive at 6 am. At 9 am, return to the accommodation for brunch before departing for Nairobi. Enjoy lunch en route, arriving in Nairobi by late afternoon.
