NAIROBI TO MAASAI MARA

NAIROBI TO MAASAI MARA
Maasai Mara National Reserve - At 8:00 AM, guests will be picked up from their hotel or residence within Nairobi CBD to begin the journey to Mara. The drive includes a stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint, offering a stunning view of the valley floor. Arrival at Maasai Mara is scheduled for lunchtime. In the afternoon, after checking in, guests will embark on a game viewing drive in the Mara Reserve. The day concludes with a delicious buffet dinner at Mara Ntulele Camp or Rhino Tourist Camp.
FULL DAY MAASAI MARA
Maasai Mara National Reserve - Around 7:00 AM, after breakfast, guests will set out for a full day of exploration in Masai Mara, seeking the Big Five. A picnic lunch will be provided in the park. Visitors will witness the site of the annual wildebeest migration and observe resident crocodiles and hippos along the Mara River banks. The Mara is renowned for hosting the spectacular natural event of the great migration, where millions of wildebeest and zebra migrate from the Serengeti (in Tanzania) in search of water and pasture, followed by savanna predators such as lions, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas, and vultures.
Mara River - This is the location of the great wildebeest migration, where one million wildebeest move between the Serengeti and Maasai Mara.
MAASAI MARA TO LAKE NAKURU
Lake Nakuru - After breakfast, guests will depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in time for lunch at the camp, followed by an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is a shallow alkaline lake near Nakuru town, famous for its millions of flamingos. The number of flamingos varies with the water level, which affects the algae they feed on. Flamingos migrate to other Rift Valley lakes when water levels are low. The National Park, established to protect the flamingo colony, also serves as a sanctuary for endangered species like the rhino. It hosts about 25 white and black rhinos, one of the largest concentrations in the country. Predators also inhabit this park, and Rothschild’s giraffes have been relocated here for protection.
Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha
Lake Naivasha - Guests will enjoy an early breakfast, check out, and depart by 7:00 AM directly to Lake Nakuru National Park for a game drive. This small park is home to magnificent, rare white rhinos, part of the Big Five. There is also a chance to see pink flamingos. The game drive lasts 3-4 hours, followed by game viewing on the way out. The ecosystem includes the lake, surrounded by wooded and bushy grasslands, supporting a wide ecological diversity, including flamingos and other water birds, and the Black and White Rhinoceros, which are major attractions. Lunch will be at a traveler’s motel in Naivasha. After lunch, guests will head to Lake Naivasha for a 1-hour boat ride, enjoying bird watching, eagle feeding, and viewing pelicans and hippos. After the boat ride, guests will return to the dock.
Lake Naivasha - Guests have the option of a boat ride on Lake Naivasha for hippo viewing and birdwatching, enjoying the beautiful scenery of flower farms.
NAIVASHA TO AMBOSELI
Amboseli National Park - After an early breakfast, guests will check out by 7:00 AM to proceed to Hell’s Gate National Park for a biking safari. A guided tour will allow guests to observe various animal species like zebras, buffalos, giraffes, and antelopes while biking. A guided walk in the gorge will follow, where guests can explore the park’s gorges and caves. After the tour, bikes will be returned at the gate. Guests will then drive to Naivasha Kifaru restaurant or Mai Mahiu hotel for lunch before heading to Amboseli, arriving in the evening. After checking in at the lodge, guests can swim and relax, with the game drive scheduled for the next day.
FULL DAY AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK
Amboseli National Park - Guests will be picked up in the morning for a drive to Amboseli National Park, renowned for its scenery with snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro as a backdrop, dominating the landscape and open plains. Guests will check in for lunch at Kibo Safari Lodge, followed by a short rest. An afternoon game drive will seek popular residents like well-known predators and their counterparts, such as zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, and hippos, with a view of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
Observation Hill - This hill offers a panoramic view of the entire Amboseli National Park, where guests can marvel at hippos and elephants drinking water below.
Amboseli to Nairobi
Amboseli Ecosystem - After an early breakfast, guests will check out and enjoy a short morning game drive en route out of Amboseli, heading to Nairobi. Upon arrival, guests will be dropped off at their hotel or the airport.
