Nairobi-Lake Nakuru National Park
Lake Nakuru National Park - Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be greeted and transferred to Lake Nakuru National Park. This park is home to warthogs, waterbuck, buffaloes, reedbucks, and occasionally leopards. White and black rhinos were introduced to the park some years ago, and you might spot white rhinos at the southern end. The park is also renowned as a paradise for bird watchers, with over 400 bird species. Arrive in time for a hot lunch at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge or a similar venue. Enjoy an evening game drive at Nakuru National Park. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Lake Nakuru-Maasai Mara National Park
Maasai Mara National Reserve - After breakfast, depart for Maasai Mara National Reserve via Lake Naivasha. Game viewing is best in the early morning or evening when animal sightings are most likely. On clear days, the Mara offers stunning orange-tinted sunsets, perfect for capturing while enjoying a sundowner at your lodge. The Mara reserve spans 1510 sq km of breathtaking open landscapes and fertile woodlands along the Mara and Talek rivers. Expect to see abundant wildlife, including giraffes, baboons, warthogs, bat-eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyenas, impalas, and wildebeests. Elephants, buffaloes, zebras, and hippos are also plentiful. The highlight is the annual wildebeest migration in July and August, when millions move north from the Serengeti in search of greener pastures, returning south in October.
Maasai Mara National Reserve
Maasai Mara National Reserve - Begin the day with an early morning game drive, followed by breakfast. Spend the day observing the great predators and exploring the park’s high concentration of wildlife. The plains are home to large herds of grazing animals, as well as elusive cheetahs and leopards hiding in acacia trees. Enjoy picnic lunches in the Reserve while taking in the beauty of the Mara from the banks of the Mara River. During your stay, you can opt to visit a Maasai village to experience their singing and dancing, which are integral to their daily life and sacred rituals. A glimpse into their homes and social structure offers a profound experience. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Maasai Mara - Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park - After breakfast, transfer to Serengeti National Park, a journey that takes up to 8 hours on rough roads. Serengeti National Park is Tanzania’s most famous and largest national park, covering 14,763 square kilometers and bordering Kenya’s Masai Mara Game Park. Its vast plains of endless grass, dotted with acacia trees, create the quintessential image of wild Africa. The park’s large stone kopjes host rich ecosystems, and the sheer abundance of life on the plains is astounding. Enjoy a game drive en route to Serengeti National Park. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park - Begin the day with a game drive through Tanzania’s oldest and most renowned National Park, the Serengeti. This location offers the most extensive game viewing in Tanzania. From predators to prey, large herds of grazing herbivores to cunning packs of carnivores, life on the Serengeti plains is a complete “circle of life.” Spend the day searching for Impalas, one of Africa’s most beautiful and graceful animals. Once thought to be part of the gazelle family, Impalas are now classified in their own sub-family. Leopards, cheetahs, lions, and wild dogs prey on Impalas. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Serengeti - Ngorongoro National Park
Ngorongoro Conservation Area - Depart after breakfast with picnic lunch boxes via the Olduvai Gorge, believed to be the cradle of mankind. Continue to Ngorongoro Crater, often called Africa’s Eden and the ‘8th Natural Wonder of the World.’ A visit to the crater is a major attraction for tourists visiting Tanzania. Within the crater rim, large herds of zebra and wildebeest graze nearby while lions bask in the sun. At dawn, the endangered black rhino returns to the crater forests after grazing on dew-laden grass. Outside the crater’s ridge, tall Maasai herd their cattle and goats over green pastures, living alongside wildlife as they have for centuries. Transfer to your lodge and descend to the crater rim for game viewing.
Ngorongoro - Amboseli National Park
Amboseli National Park - Depart after breakfast for Amboseli via the Namanga border. Amboseli National Park is renowned for its big game – elephants, lions, and cheetahs are the main attractions – and its stunning scenery. The park features five main wildlife habitats and a generally dry lake-bed, Lake Amboseli. These include open plains, extensive acacia woodlands, rocky thorn-bush country, swamps, and marshes. At the western end of the reserve, above Namanga, the Ol Doinyo Orok massif rises to over 2,760m (8,300ft) and remains largely unexplored zoologically. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
Amboseli National Park - Nairobi
Nairobi - Enjoy an early morning game drive at Amboseli National Park. After the game drive, transfer to Nairobi, arriving in time for lunch, with a drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
